Lvl 18 looking for some help to play ranked...

Before you play ranked... -Learn to cs.. -Have A handful of champs you are super confident with -HAVE GOOD RUNES AND MASTERIES, NOT JUST 2 PAGES -Watch streams and videos, to understand and hear very good players reasoning and thinking strategy

When in ranked -Don't use chat unless it is helping the game -Think LOGICALLY IN CHAMP SELECT

For now, focus on leveling to 30 and saving your IP to get Tier 3 runes (try to build 4 different but viable/common rune pages). Before even attempting to play ranked, TRY to achieve 100+ normal wins - Trust me on this.

In playing normals PRE ranked you'll be slowly getting better acclimated to the game without the excessively competitive nature of ranked.

I didn't play a ranked match until I did 125 ARAM wins and 175 Normal wins.

MANY players will be very grateful to you waiting to play ranked until after you've accrued a fair number of Norm wins/overall game experience. That said, get out there, play normals and have fun.

One suggestion I can give you, is to not play ranked until your normal MMR is above 1300. It will prevent you from dropping to bronze if you lose 7 games or so.

You can find your normal mmr by using sites like www.op.gg or www.lolnexus.com during a game.

People who are bad in normals, head straight to ranked at 30 and drop all the way to bronze v. You don't want to be stuck down there.

Don't play ranked as soon as you hit 30. Generally a bad idea. Along with all the other advice you are being given, the most important i think is simply learning about all the champions and common mechanics in the game.
