Lucky 13 Esports is looking for Diamond+ talent for our main and sub rosters

Fencer Musashi··1 votes·908 views

Hello folks, I am a part of L13's dedicated coaching staff and I am looking for some eager talented players (preferably with previous team experience) looking to be a part of something bigger. We have been an organization for over 8 months and we have had many obstacles that we have withstood and overcome including the loss and gain of many different players, but overall we have rounded out with some exceptional talent. As of right now we are looking for a Diamond+ Support and Mid Laner mainly, however we are accepting applications for all lanes. If you outperform a main roster player, they will be replaced with you. (For example, if you are a jungle player and you tryout, you will be initially considered for a potential sub position, but if you are without question, better than our current jungler for our team, you will be considered for the main jungle roster position.)

I'd like to also make a note that this is a serious team that meets Monday-Thursday 5pm-8:30pm EST every week to practice. if this practice schedule and the above requirements fit what you are looking for, please fill out the below application and I will set up an initial interview with you.

ATTENTION: We are in great need of a team shot caller, someone who feels comfortable playing they're role and also making difficult calls/decisions throughout the game to lead the team to victory. If you feel you might be able to fill big shoes like this as well, please put 'Yes' next to shot caller and you will have even more priority over another tryout or even one of our main roster players. (This may come with extra questions and time in the interview/tryout.)

-------#Application#---------

In Game Name: Age: Position: Top 5 Champions: Solo Que Rank: Flex Rank: Why is your rank not higher? Voice/Discord/headset? Are you a shotcaller? Favorite Pro Player: Why? Favorite LCS Team: Why? What makes you stand out over your peers? What happened with your last team? Why would Lucky 13 be a great organization for you?

Please message me in game after you submit your app with the phrase "Blue" and i will review your application and set up an interview with you.

In Game Name: shadowtheii Age: 16 Position: Jungle/Support Top 5 Champions: Jungle: Zac, Vi, Elise, Graves (Unowned, but I know how he works), Gragas. Support: Rakan, Janna, Braum, Bard, Karma Solo Que Rank: Silver V Flex Rank: Bronze IV Why is your rank not higher?: Sterotypical silver bullshit reasons, but generally, I guess I work better in teams then in solo, and I have no one to flex with, most of my flex's were just solo for shits and giggles, with the last few being with teams of 3 or 5 Voice/Discord/headset?: Yes. Are you a shotcaller?: Yes. Favorite Pro Player: Can't Decide Why? Favorite LCS Team: Liquid Why? I like their org. What makes you stand out over your peers?: Hm, nothing that I can really say on paper, I'd have to show you myself. I guess I would say I have a very large champion pool, I don't struggle with any mechanics really. What happened with your last team?: N/A Why would Lucky 13 be a great organization for you? I'm looking to get into the world of esports, and while this would be an incredibly large and unlikely leap, I'd like the opportunity

That's all fine and stuff Fencer Musashi, but as far as I'm concerned rank doesn't really mean jack shit, people who judge based on rank are merely in the wrong mindset.

To further help my point, solo queue rank is just how much you can carry a game against bad players, especially if you get placed bad, in silver not many people follow up on shotcalls, and they will ignore the good ones 75% of the time.

LLightning Bolt1 votes

For instance, if you go 10/1/15 on Zac jungle or something like that sort, it doesn't matter, because your carries will have retarded positioning and will have fed in lane, even if you got a lead early enough to somewhat stop it, the moment you leave their side of the map they die.

@ Shadowthell I'm sorry my man, but rank does matter. If you can't even climb out of silver you have no place on a serious team. best of luck

In Game Name: TheUnforgivenADC Age: 15 Position: ADC Top 5 Champions: Caitlyn, Jhin, Varus, Lucian, and Ashe. Solo Que Rank: D4 Flex Rank: D4 Why is your rank not higher? I was D2 4 days ago and went on a big losing streak cause i was not playing with the level and skill i should be playing at. Voice/Discord/headset? Yes to all. Are you a shotcaller? Yes Favorite Pro Player: Doublelift/Bang Why? I like their ADC play style and enjoyable people to watch and play. Favorite LCS Team: EU LCS Fnatic Why? Lit team to watch and they have some insane picks. What makes you stand out over your peers? What makes me stand out from my peers is that my game knowledge is really impressive. I know what we should do in many different situations and my mechanics are really good. Ive been complimented by many high masters/ some pro players. What happened with your last team? I was a sub junlger and I didn't wanna jungle anymore hah xD Why would Lucky 13 be a great organization for you? It would be a new start for me and It would be nice working with people i have not yet. With every new team/org new opinions are there and I can gain more knowledge from my peers.

In Game Name: VUEWARRIOR Age:31 Position:Mid Top 5 Champions: ekko, brand, ahri, wukong, ezreal Solo Que Rank: D5 Flex Rank: unranked, last season plat something Why is your rank not higher? I honestly feel like in d5 alot of people feel like they reached their limit and stopped trying to actually win and play random roles, champs, therefore its hard when everyone is not in the same page, and at this level they feel like their too good ect Voice/Discord/headset? Yes Are you a shotcaller? Yes Favorite Pro Player: dont have one Why? Just dont care much bout the pros till they beat me. Favorite LCS Team: dont have one Why? Just dont care about them What makes you stand out over your peers? I feel like i can make the right calls to win the game, What happened with your last team? No dedication Why would Lucky 13 be a great organization for you? I dont know, i havent been in this situation so i dont know how to explain on how it would be good, but given the opportunity i would like to see how organizations is run and i can hopefully judge it with expierience one day. Thanks for taking the time to read all of this and have a great day

Suit up bro1 votes

In Game Name: Suit up bro Age: 19 Position: Top Top 5 Champions: Aatrox, Camille, Galio, There are honestly no champions that i won't play. It's hard to list out my best because that is always changing with the meta, other than Aatrox and camille. Solo Que Rank: D4 Flex Rank: G1 never played it outside of placements Why is your rank not higher? Used to be D1 89lp last season, however i had to find a job so I lost a lot of focus on league, kind of stopped playing and hwen i did i just could focus enough to play at that level so i dropped rank, and took a break. Now that i have a job im slowly climbing again and am really interested in finding an awesome team to work with. Voice/Discord/headset? Yes Are you a shotcaller? Favorite Pro Player: Meteos Why? Every game i watched him on c9 his warding was amazing he was just about always where he needed to be, and had a fun personality :) Favorite LCS Team: c9 Why? When I first started watching them, they didn't really have any "all star" players, yet they went 25-4 or something like that with nothing but amazing team play! What makes you stand out over your peers? I am very very positive, i will never insult my team mate, i may give constructive criticism but I will never say something with the sole purpose of insulting anyone. And something i seem to have that most people i play with do not is my ability to pick any champion up with no problem. And i like doing it, I don't have a champion that I would say "I can't play him sorry" Nope. I will say sure give me a day. What happened with your last team? Same answer as why my rank isn't higher i really needed to find a job and couldn't focus on the team so i quit. But I have a job now :) Why would Lucky 13 be a great organization for you? From what i read in this post you guys don't give up over small problems. And i want that. I don't want an organization that drops players after an argument between them and say the team captain. I want an organization that will hear out the player and work with them to solve problems to ensure the team can function properly and optimally. Oh and I am gunning for the Top lane starting so hopefully there are many opportunities to show my stuff :)

S Prussian1 votes

In Game Name: S Prussian Age: 18 Position: Middle Top 5 Champions: Vel'koz, Cassiopeia, Anivia, Orianna, Aurelion Sol Solo Que Rank: Diamond V Flex Rank: Gold III Why is your rank not higher? Combination of going on tilt sprees and not being good enough to climb. I feel like I get slightly better every game though, whether it be a loss or a win. I learn new things every game. Voice/Discord/headset? All Are you a shotcaller? Potentially, but certainly more inclined to yes than no. Favorite Pro Player: Apdo, or probably season 4 Shiphtur. Why? Great mid laners. Shiphtur was the only NA mid laner who was actually from NA originally, and was the 3rd best of the season Favorite LCS Team: DIG/Immortals Why? Just great to watch them play I guess, it's always an enjoyable game and it's cool to see how they are quick to innovate. What makes you stand out over your peers? I really want to get better. I like the game and I'm willing to practice it. What happened with your last team? Disbanded due to a combination of personal issues. Unwillingness to practice mostly. Why would Lucky 13 be a great organization for you? Comradery between players, and just being together with other like minded players helps everybody improve. Diffusion of styles and ideas, critique on gameplay, etc.

I'd like to be at least D3 by the end of the season, if not higher, and I suppose that the next step would be connecting to others that would help me get better.
