Guide to Reach your Elo Goal !
First of, sorry for destroying english ;) and also I do not want to offend anyone in this post it is an educationnal post. WARNING LONG POST #Alright, I'm here to offer you 2 things today.
- How to grind elo like a champ
- Offer Coaching Session
This post is to inform people about how to win more games than before. I will also post about coaching at the bottom of the post if people want even more knowledge.
We will start of with a semi-explained guide to ''How to play better'' #1. Risks. Pros and Cons Is taking risk good or not? It really depend, taking risk can be very dangerous because it can go from ''Epic Plays'' to ''You started the chain reaction to Defeat'' Most of the time, the best option would be to take no risk so you can avoid to MLG throw and lead to defeat. Altho there can be some risk to takes by taking into account these information.
- How much players is shown on the map? 1? 2? 4? Knowing and approximation of where they are can tell you if the play you are about to do is HIGH RISK or LOW RISK
- Where are our vision? Does it cover our area so our risk doesn't backfire?
- Do you know if your team mates will follow your shotcall? Having someone that backoff right when you come gank can be very frustrating because you can feel you are losing your time on the lane. When taking risk there are many information you need to aknowledge before doing it which can take split seconds. It can be both beneficial or negative depending on how much information you processed before taking a high risk.
#2. How to close a game This one is very short but very important. We will often see in lower elos, people going 15-0 20-0 40-0 and still lose a game. Why? Because he doesn't have aspect of closing a game. For sure some people might say, you took mostly all kills so no gold across the team, but we aren't going to go in detail here. To close a game, you will need cooperation from all your team mates, all 5 of em, sometime 4 with some splitpush tactics. You need to learn how your team composition work. You will have to fullfil specific composition style in order to get objectives take dragons inhibitors and nexus.
- Poke Composition : Siege tower until progression to inhib on mid game. 20 mins approx
- Restreint Area Composition : Clear wards in the jungle and fight as 5 IN JUNGLE CORRIDORS then take objectives which can be dragon, towers & baron. In example having a braum, rumble, j4, viktor, lucian.
- Lane fighting Composition : Champions that needs kind of more space to make plays.
- Split Push Composition : Having usually your top laner or mid that has tp I.E Twisted fate that pushes a side lane while the 4 others either push the opposite or mid lane. If the one that split is a tank champion with TELEPORT, you will need a second tank for jungle with your 4 other members, because if your top laner doesnt tp at time their ennemy team will still need to go through 1 tank. (Note the one that split has the capability to 1v1 mostly anyone in their team) #3. Lead your team to WIN Most of the time, when someone win there is something that he DOES have and some doesn't. But it doesn't mean you can't have it. You will certainly need to check out streams, documentary, coaches to get knowledge about it and understand the reasoning behind. It is SHOTCALLING. You need to get a lot of information about :
- Who are we targetting first?
- As a jungler I inform my laners of my intentions.
- When to dragon? When to Baron?
- When is it time to get tower, inhibs?
- How to peel and who to peel.
- Need multiple team mates to place deep wards, clear wards or setup ganks. I'm not going to go really deep about this but will surely coach this area for sure. Also a little note : if you have a hard time shotcalling, try duoQin with someone good at it. Why? Because in exemple, like me, I am godly to follow by letter every single shotcall which results to wins but I suck at calling fights I.E. Having someone to follow that shotcall great is a big + in Ranks in general.
#4. Mindset
THIS IS THE MOST IMPORTANT PART AND ALSO APPLY ANYWHERE ELSE Mindset is beyond important because it is probably the factor #1 that cause you to win or lose games. I will only write tho some information that will help out here. #4.1 Every game must be a fresh game. This is something a lot of people doesn't do because it is human nature. If you have a really bad game with feeders. afker's or trolls that affected you in a previous game and then you start a new game a lot of people will drag their previous game emotions which will end up making them play very poorly in his next games. When you finish a game take every frustration away by any possible way and next game make it a fresh one. #4.2 Toxicity in chat This is something I sadly got myself into especially when I was playing on smurf. My best advice would be, do not write anything harmful, disrespectful or any badmanners to your teams. Something you might not know, if you type toxic in chat and found someone that didnt START A FRESH GAME, he will be on massive tilt and will not even want to play further that day.
Short story : On my smurf this season, I decided to make it go to diamond with only lee sin. I was applying everything to make sure my team will rise and win. I had incredible win ratio until in Platinum 1, I went very toxic. I was writing every possible errors for my team mates, insulting them, making them on tilt. The Result? I went from 1 tier mmr above to current division MMR + demoted to plat 2. And now I got on tilt for losing. I got told by my challenger friend to not even write in chat any bad thing and I decided to apply it, I started to win again and have fun with the game. It has a huge impact on how to win games.
If you see that you tend to be toxic, always bring someone, a friend that u play a lot with same elo. To tell you shut the fuck up, don't write toxic things and it might help you follow a straight line. I did this once I reached diamond 4 0 LP with a friend exact elo except 1 win behind. He got my shit straight and we had 83% Win ratio until diamond 2. I was gaining 10 LP losing 30, which means a lot of games.
#4.3 If you feel you are on tilt Some things you can do :
- Play another game you always do good at
- Take a screen break for 30 mins, to 1 day.
- Clear your mind with a hobby.
- Play normals to recalibrate your playstyle
What is tilt? (Urban Dictionnary) descibing an angry or "reeling" state of mind usually caused by a big or unluck loss. People playing on tilt play below their usual abillity and usually make larger and more aggressive plays to try to quickly recover their loss. People known to be prone to tilting are often taunted or generally aggrivated when they take a loss and then egged on when they do tilt in order to keep them in this state as long as possible.
#5. Champion Choice You have only 2 choices
- You play a champion or 2 on every role that you exceed everyone in mechanics
- You play the most over powered champion in the current patch. By doing one of these 2 you will surely grind elo faster than anyone else. When sejouani became broken with cinderhulk release, I decided to play her on the first day. Result : 11 win 1 Lost Annie mid randomly became this season on mid lane, what did I do ? 9 Win 1 Lost Cassiopeia started to rise I did the same thing again. I don't main these champions but by having strong moments in the season will assure you more wins like I did. I have some few keychamp that I main like draven, graves. I have very strong mechanics and I will usually play these champs when the top OP champs are banned. I have 60% Win rate 66 Games draven and 67% win rate 39 game played on graves. By applying these you will probably find yourself with a win rate around 60% which is really good to grind.
#Coach I will offer coach if you wish to learn more about mechanics, games and have more knowledge. If you wish to tips you can and its appreciated You can either tips as RP/Gifts/Skins or Paypal Deposit Add Sunwukos on League and mention that you wish to receive coaching.
