Trying to get gold

Hello,

The riot member told me I should look here for someone to help give me some tips or "take me under their wing". I am not looking for someone to elo boost me, but I am looking for someone around the gold 5 level or above to give me some pointers. Just someone who will maybe play 1 game with me to see what I'm doing wrong or what I can improve on.

Here is the quote from Broporo:

Broporo (NA) - about 2 hours ago Ayyyy that Summoner School would be a great resource! You might have some good luck looking through Player Recruitment too, maybe someone would be willing to take you under wing ^^_

Here is my reason as to why I want this:

"Hi guys,

This is my first time here of the forums, and I was just wondering if anyone knew where I can get someone to coach me? I know that there are websites that advertise boosting, but I disagree with that. I really would like to improve, and I know of a few things that I should improve on (map awareness and staying in the laning phase too long).

Also, I don't to sound like every silver player ever, but (at least for the last 10-15 games maybe 20) I have been dying minimally (TYPICALLY), getting a lot of kills and focusing on objectives. I don't chase kills, I farm under tower when I know I'm behind, I don't play a multitude of champions, and I have pretty good overall game knowledge.

**I tend to duo queue with my friends, but they tend to not do as well as me. I really do enjoy playing with them, but I'm starting to almost feel as though it's a guaranteed loss. ** I'm at a loss here because I know for sure that there are many ways that I can improve, but I cannot seem to gain Lp (just got demoted to Silver 3, first demotion yet). Today was the last straw for me to try and improve based on my own ideas. I watch YouTube videos and actively try and improve but I would really love a "coach" or someone who can view 1/2 of my games in order to help me.

If any of you know where I can get a service like this, or if there is a community that does this (preferably for free but not solely) I would appreciate it immensely!

(Last game: 8/2/2 with most cs (235) @32 minutes LOSS game before that: 8/4/7 9 farm below most (241) @ 35 minutes LOSS Before that: 8/7/4 with 140 at 29 LOSS (was roaming to help very not-so-great bot lane) In all of these games I ended up doing the best on the team, objective wise, warding, dmg, dmg taken, gold, cs. I don't want to seem like I am crying about this, but I am seriously looking for some help (I can provide more examples at any time).

Thank you very much, Chase "

My theory that my friends don't do as good as me held up today again. I got to my silver 3 promos again without losing 1, then I played 1 promo game with 1 friend (did much better than him) and lost... played my second with a different friend and got the same result. I lost my promos maybe because of that and am now back at 64LP...

Thank you all for reading this, Chase

Hey friend, so I've been looking at your op.gg and I just wanted to give you a few tips.

First, the Swain pick is obviously working very well for you so keep playing it for sure. But when I was climbing out of Silver/Gold as a mid laner, I found most of my success with champions that could roam and impact the map much more. I'd recommend picking up Twisted Fate. Another pick you could try out is Malzahar, he's super strong right now and can pull in a lot of free wins.

Next, I think you'd benefit greatly from switching up your builds on Swain. Righteous Glory and Deadman's Plate is not optimal. I also noticed you're using AD runes which is not what you want to bring on Swain. I recommend using Champion.gg to find the most optimal builds/rune pages for Swain or any other champion you want to look to play and make sure you're using tier 3 runes, because despite what a lot of low elo players think, they make a huge difference.

Now when it comes to actual gameplay, you seem to die quite a few times. Every death is avoidable so make sure to look back on how you died and ask yourself, "How could I have played that differently?". Make sure you're tracking the enemy jungler by warding optimal spots and paying attention to the mini-map so that you don't die to ganks. I also noticed that you average about 5 CS per minute, this is not very good, those few CS you're missing every minute turn into whole items later in the game.

I also think duoing with your friends is not working out at all. Your winrates together are pretty bad, so maybe stick to normals when your friends want to play with you, unless you both make the commitment to improve and climb together.

Thats about all I have from looking at your op.gg, but I'd be happy to watch one of your replays and give you more specific pointers if you'd like. I wish you the best of luck in solo queue!

I will definitely try mals again! I really suck with tf however:P

On the topic of AD runes I was using those to help with my cs, but I will for sure change them! If I don't want to build full AP swain, should I just do it anyways? or should I build something else?

I will re watch my games for sure... might even do that right now.

I also think that duo-ing with my friends is not working out. aha

If you wouldn't mind, could you look at a game or two of mine? I would really appreciate it! (If you're able to, which one would be the best type to send (bad/good/avg and how would I send it?)

I'm honestly just trying to get better and get to gold before the end of the season so I will take whatever help I can get when it comes to my own improvement!

Again, thanks so much for the response, Chase

I'm at school right now and have work after so I'll be able to watch one of your replays later today if thats okay, and I can just watch it from op.gg so you don't have to worry about sending it. Add me in-game (HerbieVG) and we can talk more there!
