I am a jungle main transitioning to support. Would anyone care to play some games, and teach me how to lane?

Buy a sightstone. Buy pinks. Kill other other support's wards. Don't take farm. Bring summoner 14 to summoner 4 summoner 14 and secure you some kills. Gotta get that S ranking.

depends on what you play, if it's a mage support, poke the enemy like that friend that may or may not have fallen asleep if it's a melee champ with good cc, peel at good moments and engage if you can

well support is similar to jungle in the aspect that you need really good map awareness, you need to be able to balanced out team comps with your pick. you need to provide vision and protect objectives. you need to peel, save, heal, the carries. if you have that down already as a jungler then you can easily pick up support. difference is as a support you cant right out carry games by kda such as a carry jungler. but you can carry indirectly by getting your adc fed, help getting objectives, building items to help team vs damage or to provide damage. where you gonna have your learning curve is learning lane match ups what support to play into what vs what with what adc. like typically dont pick Soraka into Blitzcrank Draven or pick a hyper aggressive support with a passive adc . when to get a healer vs a damage dealer, when to get a tank/cc machine vs a poke sustain champ. also support you need to learn how to zone in lane, how to understand your junglers paths/ ganks ect vs their junglers. for example if you have a Shyvana jungler vs a LeeSin jungler you know lee will gank early. are you on his blue side cuz he will likely gank about 4 mins in or are you his red side where he can gank early. when do you need to ward, where to ward. warding vs a Zac would be different then warding vs a MasterYi cuz Zac can gank from behind wall on his blue buff. its just things like this you have to consider and take in mind as a support player. just like if youre a Ashe Sona you know your power spike is lvl 6 for both and at lvl 6 you should set up for a gank because if your jungler is there and you manage both ults right it should get a double kill and win lane at 6, but you have to be a bit more passive and safe til then. but all this comes with game knowledge and like i said being a jungler before you should have some grasp of this already.

Early game you want high base damage to keep up with trading blows, but overall you want some form of peel to protect your adc with since you're the real counter against diving assassins. However, that's just supporting aspect of a support, not what identifies support. Support's primary roles are vision coverage and vision denial, so as what ppl have already said you need sightstone, pink wards, and sweeper. Your summoner spell choice depends on your playstyle, but if you're dealing with a zed I honestly think you should prioritize exhaust over ignite.

No offense but I would consider myself a support main and why would you ever do that...Like support is honestly the worst position to play because you cant solo carry a game (unless you are playing like zyra or brand) and you literally are placing your hopes and energy into other people. By playing support it doesn't matter if you land 50 thresh hooks or blitz grabs if your team doesn't have the ability or skill to follow up on them. You place your fate in some random guys hands and if things go south you are the first one to get flamed. Trust me you don't want to be a support main unless those are the champs that fit your game and playstyle and even so its still not worth it at all
