Hello summoners! We here at Upsurge Esports would like to welcome you to the open beta testing for our new and improved 1v1 Tournament format. Here we'll be discussing the format, the buy in structure and everything you need to know to take home the prize.
The aim of this beta test is to see how the tournament structure plays out when implemented with real players. Our staff put a lot of time and thought into ensuring the process is as streamlined as possible to ensure players can play matches with clarity and structure. Also on the minds of our tournament developers was to make sure players have fun without being slowed down by the process itself. Over the course of 4 days, we'll be monitoring the ease of moving from game to game and the difficulty of moving the tournament along in a timely fashion.
Here's what you'll need to know:
The beta will take place over 4 days. The limit will be 50 players per night. During the beta testing players will not have to pay, but are still eligible for prizes. The prize structure for all 4 days will be as follows: $10 for First place, $5 for 2nd place and $5 for 3rd place. If players sign up only to find out the tournament is full to capacity, they will automatically reserve a spot in the tournament the following day. As well as fill the spot of any players who could not make the times required for the tournament. Our goal is to give players an interactive, evolving tournament where you can have fun, make new friends and have a shot to earn prizes.
