Hello everyone! Tactical Gaming is currently recruiting all players of all levels and skill levels into our well organized teams. We offer a variety of choices for you to make, whether you are a casual player or a serious competitive player and we are always active in game. From my own experience, Tactical Gaming can be very flexible. So whether you're a casual or competitive player, we try to accommodate to your needs!

On the NA side of the League of Legends division (or 1nd Battalion), we currently have 11+ squads/teams that are active and play together regularly. With over 70 members in Tactical Gaming on NA and over 150 in EUW, there is always someone who is willing to play with you!

There is a lot of information here for you to read below, however if you find it TL;DR then just skip straight to the bottom!

I will explain to you further and in depth about TG and what we stand for.

Who are Tactical Gaming?

Tactical Gaming (TG) was created in November 2004 to bring together like-minded gamers from around the globe and from multiple platforms (Consoles, PC & Mobile), to provide them Head Quarters (web site) where they can share their backgrounds, experience, and interests in teamwork and tactics, as well as providing them with an environment that allows a "friends-first" experience in the online community.

TG is not for everyone and the different phases of our recruiting process enable us to find like-minded gamers.

Different type of gamers: We have found that there are 3 main types of gamers (intro, casual and competitive) and our structure allows us to satisfy each type by grouping them with similar gamers.

Awards: We value each and every member. Whether you show great practice/match attendance, or show other qualities such as good conduct, dedication, leadership, teamwork, tactics and performance on and off the field, our attendance points system and our awards are there to give recognition to those who have earned it.

Web Team: Our large member base keeps us on our toes by asking for new features and coming up with exciting new ideas. This is where our Web Team comes in. We have a full staff of talented developers and graphics personnel that work daily on projects to keep our sites on the cutting edge of the gaming community.

Why join us? Here's my story of joining TG

At first I joined the League of Legends division in Tactical Gaming in May 2013, this is where I have stayed for the majority of my TG career. Over that period, I rose through the ranks not only in TG, but in the game as well and developed myself as a person and a player.

I have been in another division as well for about a couple of months but thought that the game was disappointing, as such I moved back into LoL division and this is where I currently am at the moment.

What drives me to stay in such a place? Well there are a few things...

The first being that I have found players just like myself. Who want to improve their game, themselves as a person, who want to lead whether that be a squad/team or an entire battalion/division. The possibilities, I wish I could say that they are endless, but it's as limited as you could imagine.

The second thing is that I personally want Tactical Gaming's LoL division to grow. Not just in size, but in presence. As such, we will hopefully be pushing for more competitive squads to rise up and actually play in tournaments etc. in order for TG to be noticed on the competitive scene.

Thirdly, I like the structure of Tactical Gaming. Not just in LoL division, but across other divisions as well. If there is a problem that you have, anything you need help with and even someone to play with: You always have someone to go to.

Lastly, is the amount of friends that I have made here. Before I was in a simple ranked team and it went nowhere. My skills didn't develop and all I found myself doing was jumping to teams and then witness them falling apart. In TG there is none of that. I have made countless friends in my time in TG and I have to say they have made it much more enjoyable.

I've been in TG for almost two years now and I must say the experience has been fantastic. I got to meet new like-minded players and have enjoyed every single minute of being in TG. I highly recommend joining us!

The FAQ is kinda long, so if you don't wanna read everything, skip straight to the bottom!

FAQ

Q: How many members are in Tactical Gaming?

A: Roughly we have around 2,500 active members and we are still growing. This is across games such as CS:GO, Call of Duty, Battlefield, League of Legends, DotA 2 and more! You could be part of the 2,500+!

Q: How do I sign up?

A: Simply click on the link at the bottom of this post and under 'referrer' add "TG Instance" to it.

Q: What will happen once I sign up?

A: *Once you sign up, it will take around 24 hours for validation and an e-mail to be sent to you.

You are then required to go through "Boot Camp". Which puts you through a test which is about TG and their rules, just to make sure that you understand them.

To explain the test in basic terms, the test is for all new 'recruits' to take. This is to test your knowledge on the rules. Such as our structure, communication standards and other standards that all members must follow.

Documents will be provided in the test as well as the e-mail/PM sent to you on the website and most of the answers will be in these documents. The simplest way of taking the test is to have the documents open in your browser and find the answers to the questions it asks you.

Once you are done there, you will need to post a thread stating you have completed the test. [They will guide you where to go next.]

After which, you will most likely be put in one of the two Introductory Squads in our 2nd battalion, or the EUW side of TG.*

Q: I'm in an IN Squad, now what?

A: *Our mandatory practices [Which are standard across TG] are on Wednesdays and Sundays beginning 7PM GMT/8PM CET, attending practices will give you attendance points.

Your squad leader will teach you the basic communications and structure of TG. This isn't because we think you're lousy at communicating, it is just the standard of TG and it helps you to communicate a lot better once you're in.

When you accumulate enough attendance points, you will be put into a Structured Squad. It normally takes a maximum of 4 of these practices to "graduate" from the IN squads and a minimum of 2, however if the Squad Leader thinks that you've picked it up really well, then you can move onto a Structured Squad faster.

If you have a preference you need to talk to your squad leader about this. Unless you are unhappy with the squad you are placed in, this is where you will stay.*

Q: I only want to play League of Legends as a casual gamer, do you have squads for this?

A: We do. Although we don't have as many casual squads as we do competitive, there are still some squads available that are solely for the casual gamer.

Q: I am under level 30, will I still be able to join TG?

A: Yes. Everyone can join, whether you are new to the game or are trying to get to level 30.

Q: I would like to bring my friends into the clan too, will I be able to have a squad of my own with them?

A: It's very complicated. Even though we can make a new squad, we can't just make them because you know each other. You can be put in the same squad that is currently available, sure, but you won't get put into your own squad. Although this can happen, it really depends on the decision of the officers of our battalion.

Basically, when enough members join, we consider making another squad, but it won't be just for a special occasion. But if they want to join, just get them to sign up. Absolutely anyone is allowed to join, provided you're aged 16 and over!

Q: How many people do you have in your squad(s)?

A: Currently, as stated previously, we have 20+ squads and counting. Which does not include the IN squads. We still want more and more members to join us in a fun organisation and a generally fun gaming environment, no matter what skill level, as we continue to grow in TG.

Once i get off work, i will probably check it out. However, I do have a few additional questions

  1. Do you host tournaments for these teams?
  2. Do you have a person who does coaching/analysis for the teams that play
  3. Are there specific ELOs that you are looking for?
  4. The teams that people get initially put on not the IN, the graduated from IN ones, do they have a significant turnover and finally
  5. (Assuming you host tournaments) were you able to get a sponsorship from Riot for RP points?

Thanks in advance

Thanks for the questions

  • We have been hosting some tournaments for our Inhouse squads and we are encouraging squads to play in outside Tournaments as well.
  • Generally Squad Leaders and Squad Assistants (Squad staff) are the ones that analyse the games they play during practice and report back in whats called a Post Practice Report (PPR). The members of the squad need to read this and it will be discussed next practice.
  • No! TG doesn't care about your ELO and we accept everyone from every rank (including pre-LVL30).
  • Once a member has completed their boot camp they are placed into the Intro Squad (IN) for 4 practices minimum to learn about TG and then transferred to the Cooperative Squad until we find a squad that you can fit in (based on ELO, Rank, Main Positions etc). You can also be requested by SS of different squads to join their squad. After that you will be placed in your Structured Squad (ST).
  • In our last 2 tournaments we had RIOT sponsorship both times.

Any other questions please add me in game and i will be able to answer them for you :)
