I have been playing league for about a year now, the competition is really inspiring. I have aspirations of becoming a real competitor and am actively seeking like minded Summoners. Whether you are a bronze five baddie or a platinum legend dedication is what truly matter, if you would like to play with me and actually compete please add me wCookw.
LRGcobra1 votesPlatinum Legend>??? You do realize there 3 whole more divisions lol. Diamond, Master, Challenger. Plat Is more or less mediocre or thought of as decent.... not good by any means lol

I find this statement/belief to be fairly ignorant. Approximately only the top 10% of League's players are Platinum and higher. Less than the top 3% are Diamond or higher.
That's the equivalent of saying/believing that making "$150,000" a year in the United States is decent but not good by any means. Or, that's saying only people with an IQ of 125-130 are kind of smart but not intelligent by any means. (Just to give a frame of reference to the percentage breakdown.) If you wanted the statistically "average" skill level, that would be about Silver 3.
LRGcobra1 votesWell I guess its all about your standards then and what you see yourself/self- worth. As for your 150k example, i think its a bit distorted and inflated, but I don't know about you but 150k is not a lot money if you are trying to support a family of 3 or 4. Id hope to be making around 100-150k a year when i start my family. So i mean too each their own but I personally like to strive for better then just "average", maybe you should also.
