I'm a Gold 3 support and jungle main, I'm interested in joining a team. But if the team can't queue up together in ranked, why would I want to join the team? It's making a commitment that would be impossible to fulfill.

Well if you have a team like that then your gold members won't be able to play with your bronze members.
After all this talk, I really don't think this "team" would be anything anyone worth their LP should consider joining.
