Prophecy Cup League. Amateur LCS league L4 Teams and Free Agents
The Prophecy Cup
If you are reading this, you have either been sent this by a friend wanting you to join The Prophecy Cup, or you have joined and clicked the link. Welcome, you’ve come to a great place.
The first thing you need to do is in the chat room “#rank-roles”, post your rank in solo queue/flex (whichever you play) with your main roles, as well as a link to your na.op.gg or www.lolking.net
Second, go introduce yourself :). Head into general chat, throw a hello out to everyone and meet some people. Our server isn’t solely a League of Legends league, it is a community. We play and discuss plenty of other games, so don’t be afraid to find some friends for Overwatch, PUBG, CSGO, or whatever it is you play.
Your next steps depend on what you’re trying to do. If you’re trying to join a team, you should go post in recruitment with your information you posted in #rank-roles and message captains who are looking for players you fit the description for.
If you want to take the league by storm, start your own organization from the ground up, that’s also an option. If you want to do this, be prepared for a lot more responsibility and a necessity to be active in scheduling scrimmages, talking to other captains/owners, and making sure your players are taken care of.
If you think you can handle all of this, then message one of the council members, or the owners. They will be the people on the right side with the tag “Council” on their profile and then some sort of fruit/emoji in their server name. Let them know you want to start a team, the name, and a color if you have one. If you don’t have one, the server randomly gives you something.
If you’ve started your team, now you gotta start recruiting! Friends from your League of Legends friends, list, players in recruitment, people off Reddit, anywhere! Just know, that we have a system in place in order to keep the league about team play and macro vs just lane domination. www.lolking.net provides a statistic called “Lolking Score” or LKS that is based off of how you perform in ranked. Every player has a score that corresponds with their rank in some way. Myself, MannyOrSonny, as of writing this is Gold IV with a 1573 LKS. For captains, the rule the council has agreed upon, is that your starting lineup for a match may not have an average LKS higher than 2000. This does not apply to your coach, or your substitutes not playing in that match. Which means you can run 5+ man rosters where players sub out amongst matches.
We feel this number allows us to have a high enough average skill level, while also allowing owners to have different variations of lineups that we get quality League of Legends matches.
Now that you have a team set up, and players, you gotta get some practice. Captains schedule your team scrims in the scrims chat, or play flex queue. The play-in tournament is on the 1st of July and will determine who joins us into the regular season over the following two months. You want to do your best to ensure you have a spot in the regular season, so give it your all! If you don’t make it, DON’T WORRY! We will still have plenty of events and weekend tournaments in order to keep you playing and on the top of your game, so don’t leave.
If you have any more questions, please feel free to message a council member, mod, or helper.
