Can someone please tell me what i'm doing wrong. Far too often i am going even/winning my lane and @10 mins i bot has fed 5 kills each, top 5 kills, and jg is lost/afk/also 5 deaths. How do I carry this. What am i doing wrong? Am i focused on the wrong stuff? Am i actually the issue?

This is not just another bronze "pity me" post. Genuinely wanting to be critiqued. What can i do to climb? Somebody please help. lol

  1. If your team has no play-making abilities, bring it yourself. ; Dont pick swain when your team has no tank, no engage, no peel, no early game. This makes it very hard to take a lead, and even harder to come back from when behind.

  2. Learn the ins and outs of EVERY matchup on your BEST champions. You want to know how to win your lane EVERY time. SoloRenektonOnly has some really great content that relates to all champions in terms of knowing how/when to trade, lane positioning, minion waves, ect. I recommend checking out his youtube channel.

  3. Once you know how to get a lead, use your lead to not only get yourself farther ahead, but the rest of your team as well. Towers, dragons, and roaming are good ways to snowball. Don't forget that it is OKAY to stay top if you are strong, you can force the enemies to send the jungler to you frequently, which takes his pressure off the rest of the map. Make sure to ward and not actually die to him tho!

  4. Familiarize yourself with what you should be doing in different situations. In addition, it can help to go into the game with a plan. a. if i get ahead im going to try to take the tower and group with my team b. if my team falls behind im going to build tanky and peel for the damage dealers ^^ examples of a plan

  5. The #1 way to improve is replay review. Look for things you did successfully that you can reproduce, look for things you may have missed, and look for things you could have done better. Decision making is key. It could have to have a high elo friend review a replay for you as well at least the first time, to show you what to look for.

In addition to that stuff, watching a challenger top lane main on stream every now and then can be very valuable.
