[LFM] Recruiting for Serious Ranked 5v5 Team (Dedicated Players Only)

Creating a serious ranked team for 5v5 for the following goals:

• Attain 75 points for the Victorious Ward Skin • Develop teamwork and compete in tournies and scrims • Work towards climbing the ladder and prepare for the next season

We're looking for positive, driven players who are willing to learn and develop strong teamwork to create a solid, long-term team. Team members are expected to have a winning attitude who will NEVER give up without a fight and aim to win every single game. A loss is ONLY a waste of time if players are unable to learn from it.

Members must have the mental strength to handle tilt and stress; you may have bad games, but you must NOT act like a bad player. You do not let negative emotions get the better of you and start behaving passive-aggressively towards your teammates. You believe in comebacks (and actively look for opportunities to exploit mistakes by the enemy) and even when we're dominating an enemy team, you play your best without ever letting your guard down. You must be a team player who is able to both believe in yourself and trust in your teammates.

While players ages 18 and over are preferred, anyone is welcome as long as you are mature and be easy to get along with (must not be toxic or be intolerant of others). You should be used to playing as a team and be able to take criticism without going on a tilt (no time for inferiority complexes, egos, and being depressed), and if you see a crucial mistake, you must be able to offer constructive criticism without damaging the team dynamics or undermining the shot-caller (and again, no dwelling the the past & keep it simple! e.g. ADC: "ah damn, I wasn't ready, uh, ping/tell me before you go in" Support: "you got it, bro!" - and bam, it's over, move on).

Requirements

• Dedicated - must show up to games and be able to keep time commitments • Available at least 3x a week (preferably everyday until end of Season 4) • Positive attitude and always looking to improve - you do not rage & you do not give up • Must have a working mic and download Teamspeak & Skype (for backup) • Must have willingness to learn, have the ability to take criticism, and be able to follow directions without hesitation (i.e. during a game). • Be willing to sign up on our website/etc. when asked (once we become a solid team and need to share strategies/analyze past games/schedule in-house tournies with prizes). • Bonus points if you follow Worlds/etc. and know how to at least play all the meta champs. • BE A RELIGIOUS BELIEVER IN WARDS AND VISION CONTROL. You buy wards, no matter who you are. You understand there's a limit on wards per player. You understand the dangers of pushing without map control or not knowing where ALL FIVE enemy players are at. YOU DO NOT FACECHECK unless it's to ward or you're with YOUR WHOLE TEAM, READY FOR A FIGHT. You group up to PROTECT YOUR WARD, TO KILL ENEMY WARDS, and IMMEDIATELY start towards collapsing towards an enemy caught in your vision with your team). Wards are only second to taking objectives, but you understand the serious dangers of going for objectives without vision!

While Gold+ ranked players are preferred, players of all ranks may apply and tryout to prove their skills. We currently have 2 main players and 2 subs from our community who are able to fill/sub (2 diamonds and 2 golds). We will most likely run a captain and sub-captain system, depending on the abilities of our shot-callers. If you're not going to play on your main/best account for the remaining season because you already have the ward skin or w/e, you're welcome to link your lolking to your main.

During ranked games, chat should be clear of small talk and be focus towards playing the game. We expect the early game communication to be mostly between ADC & Support, but ALL team members are expected to know how to communicate with their team members (while map awareness is important and it is ideal for everyone to pay attention, it's still NO EXCUSE for a lack of communication).

Schedule

While the goal is to play as much as possible, there will be certain days and times (at least 3x a week) on the schedule that will be mandatory for main team members (subs should be on standby whenever possible, as we may opt to swap players between games). The scheduled times for the main team are expected to be during the evening (Eastern Time).

Missing too many days without advanced notice (e.g. "I'll be away for a week during Thanksgiving") may result in you being swapped with a sub or outright removal from the team, particularly if there is no reliable way to contact you (Skype/Google Voice/Mobile #/etc.).

We do plan to have some sub slots for those with busy schedule, which will be great for catching ranked games during none scheduled times and such. More flexibility will be offered to sub roles, but subs may also be replaced if he/she is not available during their proposed available timeslots. In addition, official team subs will have priority in joining a new team if we decide to form additional, serious ranked teams (provided that he/she is able to keep the required time commitment).

Roles

As mentioned, all roles are temporarily all open until we find the best fit. However, top & mid roles are least likely to be needed. Two roles we absolutely need: an amazing jungler (being a good shotcaller & #2 warder is a plus) and a dedicated, main support.

Time/Availability: Currently trying to enroll in college classes, but with a little notice I should be able to make all play times. Are you a good shotcaller?: Yes, I understand the value of objectives compared to others, and have a very good understanding of how to win games. Strengths: Mechanics, Map Awareness, Teamwork, and Communication Weaknesses: CS needs to improve a bit, I average around 60-80 by 10 minutes with atleast 1/2 kills. Any experience (team ranked & tournies)?: Played on a ranked team and we peaked Plat 5 during season 3, and had several good tourny runs, averaging atleast top 5. I was kicked due to the captain finding someone with ties to a eSports community, and they tried to go pro. Needless to say, they keep begging me to come back, but I refuse to play on a team that's willing to just drop me at any moment for hopes of bigger and better things, especially after we all talked about how we we're all willing to put in the effort to climb the ladder together.

Thanks for all your interest! We apologize in advance if we are unable to respond to you right away. If I have added you or confirmed your add in game and haven't yet spoken to you, please feel welcome to poke me (I will usually be the first point of contact). Instead of creating custom games for each person after all available team members log on, we may start joining public games with whoever is available and record the game to get a sense of your style.

We were asked if our community may create additional teams. We understand that teams can quickly improve if they have a reliable team to frequently skirm with (technically we do have a silver/gold casual team, but it's already filled). In addition, some public tournies also place limits, either by rank tiers or by assigning points depen ding on each player's solo rank/mmr, so having one than one team may be beneficial and offer us flexibility in building our teams. (Additional teams may also boost our gaming community's interest in LoL, leading to funded events and public tournies).

However, our priority is to build a strong, dedicated team. We will only create additional teams if we are sure the team will be able to stand on its own feet after the initial setup.

Finally, I have changed the wording on the shot-caller question. Please do not feel pressured to answer yes as a shot-caller if you are not comfortable with it, as having too many shot-callers is not necessarily a good thing.

Just a quick update to say that we'll still be accepting applications until the end of this week (we'll contact you as long as you post one prior to the 25th). There's a few people we still need to reach. Admittedly we've been playing everyday at odd hours; for this week, the best time to be online is between 9pm-midnight eastern time. We'll game with you solo if that's what it takes, as long as we catch each other online.

We're looking to play with a few more people before we make a final decision on our roster this weekend. Please apply or add me in game only if you are interested in a serious team and can dedicate your time for an active, ranked team. I'll be on more on this particular account for ease of contact (been trying out with other team members) for the next few days. We do have some great players for the team in mind, but we're looking to fill all 9 team slots who are able to make it to our playing times.

Please expect to play long sessions, more than the scheduled days and games in the first month (at LEAST 5-10 games, 3x a week PREFERABLY MORE especially the first month), meaning you must be able to handle gaming fatigue and be able to shake off tilt.

Please be sure you have time to play in the evenings (NA time) at the minimum, and are motivated and resilient enough to handle long gaming sessions. I am 18, names Gabriel. I have mumble, TS3, and skype. I play top lane and top pretty much every game.

I play Gnar (My best at the moment), Jarvan IV, Darius, and Rumble. (I am expanding my champion pool but for now I'm working on mastering Rumble seeing as I am very comfortable on the other three champions.)

I'm working on Mundo but I've got a lot of work to do on him.

I am mechanically advanced and can pick up new champions very quickly. I am very familiar with tank builds, bruiser builds, and fighter builds at top lane.

I am avalable.... (PST) Mondays and Wednesday from 7:XX am - 6:00pm & 9:00pm- X:XXam Tuesdays and Thursdays from 7:XX am - 5:00pm & 7:00pm - X:XXam Fridays from 10:00 am - TBD (Work schedule) Sat-Sun depends on work schedule and lady friend's plans. Basically, weekends are me time EXCEPT for night time.

I am Platinum 3 at the moment. (This weekend is a rough one, Sunday after 8pm I'll be back.)

Also, welcoming another jungle or two to make sure we have enough teams. Players that perform well, has a great attitude, and can work together well (or are willing to learn and adapt) will be invited to our main team.
