About the Team and Coach: Formely known as Team Y TrY, the group is a community of League of Legend Gamers working their way up the ladders on amateur tournaments, circuits, and seasonal ladders. Our group has been around for 3 seasons of league esports and have played in qualifying tournaments for ipl 5 and hopefully future IPL's. We have worked with players from low as silver rank and as high as challenger. We're looking to coach a team from a standard knowledge base and train/support you up to circuit play. We have done it before and are ready to do it again. Our Motto is: Determination is what determines your strength!

Requirements:

  1. Lower Gold minimum Solo/duo Queue ranking
  2. Microphone
  3. Voxer/ Line [Phone app available for free on Ios and Android]
  4. Prior league of legends ranked 5's history
  5. Ability to commit to a team and schedule***
  6. Effective and clear verbal communication
  7. Computer specifications (Head coach will go over this with applicants)

If applying to be a coach:

  • No mmr or ranking restrictions
  • Experience playing or coaching on a previous team
  • Willing to spend 8+ hours per week on coaching meetings
  • Have experience participating in open leagues/ amateur league tournaments

Tryout Process: Your first step is to give us the information below using the format provided, be as detailed as possible. We will look over your statistics, match history, and season information. Then selectively, we will pull applications of various players and add you online through PVP.NET. You will also receive an email that you must respond to within 12 hours to schedule a tryout time with the coach. You do not need to add any of our members, but you may if you like. ADDING US WILL NOT MAKE THE PROCESS FOR YOU ANY EASIER OR FASTER, however you may add us in game at your own discretion. Your tryout process is dependent on the role you're applying for and the champions you play with. After going over details with the coach you will be given further instructions.

We are prepaed for alot of applications so please be patient with us getting back to you. We plan to touch base with all applicants.

From the Coach Staff: _Lastly, we want to thank all of you whom apply or show support. As head coach of the team I just want to express my own thoughts aside from the rest of this post. A team cannot go far without determination and bond. These things will always empower you and your teamates to go beyond what your normal limits are. If you watch lcs players on stream or in interviews they will always talk about how their team wins games and makes them better. There are things you cannot accomplish yourself, just as there are things you can only do alone. The difference is that the range of your ability and how far you can excel is much higher when working with a team than working alone. While working alone can make you a great player that doesnt need to rely on anyone to achieve your goals; the truth is, a player will be far stronger if they succeed in working together with others. However good you are at something, multiply that by 3 when working with others then multiply that by a number that respresents your connection, bond, and trust with your team. That is the power of working together and achieving something great. That is the goal of this team and I hope that the applicants we work with are of the same mind. _

In terms of each role Sejuani would be it for jungle, Viktor in middle, and Janna as support. Secondary Champions: Jungle is any thing meta, though I need some work on my early pathing on Nidalee. Support is also anything in the metagame, thoguh my Annie is noticeably more out of practice than the others and Thresh is an obvious deficiency in my champ pool.   7. I just really like improving myself, and I feel like I can improve more this way than I can in solo que.
  8. I am very flexible and consistent. I can work with a lot of different play styles and comps, and I play from behind really well when it happens.
  9. I used to be a part of Team Cozen; we entered some online tournaments and practiced 6 days a week, sometimes 7.
  10. I'm available after 7pm PST Sunday-Wednesday and Saturday, before 7pm on Thursday, and all day Friday.

"Why I want to join your Team" I dream about becoming an LCS player. About making a living doing something I love so much. I need to start now before it's too late and this seems like a great opportunity to see if I have what it takes. I want to test myself, I want to grow as a player, and more than anything I want to be on a team that can really bring out the essence of League of Legends. I want to play with people who are better than me so I'm always chasing them and striving to be better. I want to click with my team and grow relationships so we can achieve flawless execution. I want to win and lose games on the edge of a knife, and I want those failures and successes to be decided by strategic choices instead of errors. I want to be on a team because LoL is a team game, and it's a game I love to play.

"What I feel I can bring to the team" I have DRIVE. The only reason I am not openly committed to becoming an LCS player is because I was already graduating college when LoL began. That meant student loans and a career to pay for them was my option. I am a Mechanical Engineer who graduated from Drexel University. I am driven, passionate, smart, and strategic. I am also a leader, which is a quality I have now honed in my career as a Lead Systems Integrator. I have been searching for an opportunity to start down a new path, and I want to become and LCS player.

I love League of Legends and I love playing it, which is why I am now a 5 season veteran. I have seen all the meta's and I have seen all the champions. I know the match-ups, I know the macro game, the micro game, and I know the paths to victory. I am a shot caller and team-facilitator and I believe in a 3 phase program:

Vocalize, Strategize, Execute.

Vocalize Create a flow of information about the current state of the game, expressing both Events (mia's, wards, timers) and Perspectives (I'm trading strongly, he has a power advantage, they're weak to pressure, a wave is building). These two categories keep the team on the same page and allow each player to adjust their micro-strategy in real-time.

Strategize Vocalization paints a picture of the game in that moment and allows the shot caller to extrapolate the potential future scenarios. This facilitates a healthy macro-game. The strategic phase focusing on choosing one or two Main Objectives, and lays out the general path to Objective Acquisition. Overall, the Main Objectives are always in support of the Win Conditions which are based on team compositions and effective play-styles. In turn, the Main Objectives are supported by Execution Steps in phase 3.

Execute In order to achieve Objective Acquisition, a series of strategies are attempted. While the Main Objective remains constant, there are normally a number of different paths to its' acquisition. The execution phase consists of testing multiple paths and waiting for the GO order which should only come when path of least resistance presents itself.

I believe in strategy, and I want to test myself against the best and most strategic teams. As I stand here today, I am not an LCS caliber player, but I believe my understanding of the game, my drive, and my passion could lead me there. I have a long way to go and a ton of growth potential, and I want to start. Today.

Prior Team Experience I have played on many Ranked 5 teams, however they never became serious endeavors. They were typically comprised of friends and my highest teams were only Gold. I have also searched the forums before and also hosted team tryouts in the past. It is just difficult to find dedicated players. In addition, I have participated in Teamspeak Tournaments on a number of occasions and have been able to win first place in those brackets a few times.

I am a team player, and I prefer playing on ranked teams. While my Tournament experience is lacking, I know how to play on a team and as a team. I am typically a strong voice and my leadership qualities come out when playing 5v5 Ranked. We are always on some form of comms and I feel I have a good understanding of how information should flow. In particular as an ADC, you can control a game simply with your placement and actions, allowing you to "shot call" without even speaking. I fit well on teams as an ADC even though I can at times be more mechanically proficient in other lanes. My team experience has taught me that my greatest Team win percentage is on ADC.

Availability I am available every day after 4PM EST and almost all weekend days. I also have a flexible schedule so I can make room for late night tournament times or special early times.

Voxer/Line? In an effort to get this in before the deadline, I will submit this before downloading the Voxer app. However, I will get setup on Voxer after submitting.

Microphone? Curse, Raid, etc. I have a microphone and headset and pretty much all the comms porgrams

Lastly, anything you want to say to us as a team or me individually as a coach. I want to improve. I know I have tremendous growth potential and I have so much passion about League that I will grow quickly. I am a dedicated individual and being a leader myself I respect a good coach. My listening skills and capacity for understanding are excellent, and I want a coach as much as I want a team. I know with help I can excel at LoL, and I want to take my shot at it.

You will not be disappointed in my capabilities or learning curve. I am worth your investment of time, and I would really appreciate this opportunity. Lastly, my Team play-style is vastly different than my Solo Q style, and my stats do not represent my capacity to function on a team. If you give me a chance you will see the difference.

We didn't have a Coach so we used our own judgement, We would always face D3+ solo que players... facing Master tier + was really fun :D. I also enter solo que style RP tournaments where you're matched with random players to win as a team... that's where I get to practice communicating with random teams, it's pretty fun :)

  10. Schedule: Thursday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday (maybe Friday?). That's my weekly schedule, I'll only game on other days if there's an actual tourney I'd be needed in (providing I make team lol!) otherwise for team practice/ranked 5's I'd pref to stick to my schedule.

I'm hoping I'll be able to experience high level play, but I also don't mind subbing when needed. Even if subs don't practice with team much, if any, while on a team I'll practice my champion pool in ranked and prep w/e new meta champs in normals to play in ranked (hopefully I rank to Challenger lol?) I'm very serious on this practice method actually, my match history season 4 would def show me playing a lot of meta champs through out the season at the time and evolving as the meta changed.

Sorry there isn't much to look at for recent matches since I was gone for a month, I'm resuming my league life this coming Thursday :o

About the Team and Coach: Formely known as Team Y TrY, the group is a community of League of Legend Gamers working their way up the ladders on amateur tournaments, circuits, and seasonal ladders. Our group has been around for 3 seasons of league esports and have played in qualifying tournaments for ipl 5 and hopefully future IPL's. We have worked with players from low as silver rank and as high as challenger. We're looking to coach a team from a standard knowledge base and train/support you up to circuit play. We have done it before and are ready to do it again. Our Motto is: Determination is what determines your strength!

Requirements:

  1. Lower Gold minimum Solo/duo Queue ranking
  2. Microphone
  3. Voxer/ Line [Phone app available for free on Ios and Android]
  4. Prior league of legends ranked 5's history
  5. Ability to commit to a team and schedule***
  6. Effective and clear verbal communication
  7. Computer specifications (Head coach will go over this with applicants)

If applying to be a coach:

  • No mmr or ranking restrictions
  • Experience playing or coaching on a previous team
  • Willing to spend 8+ hours per week on coaching meetings
  • Have experience participating in open leagues/ amateur league tournaments

Tryout Process: Your first step is to give us the information below using the format provided, be as detailed as possible. We will look over your statistics, match history, and season information. Then selectively, we will pull applications of various players and add you online through PVP.NET. You will also receive an email that you must respond to within 12 hours to schedule a tryout time with the coach. You do not need to add any of our members, but you may if you like. ADDING US WILL NOT MAKE THE PROCESS FOR YOU ANY EASIER OR FASTER, however you may add us in game at your own discretion. Your tryout process is dependent on the role you're applying for and the champions you play with. After going over details with the coach you will be given further instructions.

We are prepaed for alot of applications so please be patient with us getting back to you. We plan to touch base with all applicants.

From the Coach Staff: _Lastly, we want to thank all of you whom apply or show support. As head coach of the team I just want to express my own thoughts aside from the rest of this post. A team cannot go far without determination and bond. These things will always empower you and your teamates to go beyond what your normal limits are. If you watch lcs players on stream or in interviews they will always talk about how their team wins games and makes them better. There are things you cannot accomplish yourself, just as there are things you can only do alone. The difference is that the range of your ability and how far you can excel is much higher when working with a team than working alone. While working alone can make you a great player that doesnt need to rely on anyone to achieve your goals; the truth is, a player will be far stronger if they succeed in working together with others. However good you are at something, multiply that by 3 when working with others then multiply that by a number that respresents your connection, bond, and trust with your team. That is the power of working together and achieving something great. That is the goal of this team and I hope that the applicants we work with are of the same mind. _
