Hey everyone!

With the start of the new season, Ascension Esports is pleased to announce the renewal of our Dragon and Elder Leagues. We have held the two leagues for nearly two years now, and have made some big changes for this season!

As an organization, we want to focus on giving players a place to learn and grow. In addition, with Riot’s Clash tournaments being announced, we want to provide players with an environment where they can practice effectively in order to perform better at Clash!

In order to do so, we have doubled our efforts into our existing leagues. This culminates in our Elder and Dragon Leagues, two LCS-style leagues for players to improve in, played over the course of a five-week regular season and three weeks of playoffs. Unfortunately, these leagues are NA only, however EU players are welcome to sign up as coaches!

What do we offer?

After listening to our players, we have revamped both Dragon and Elder leagues so that they provide a better learning experience for all players. In addition, we will be focusing more on coaching this season to ensure both coaches and players are working together towards their goals. Finally, we have increased our efforts in production and casting to provide a better viewing environment for everyone.

Dragon League (Bronze/Silver) - Players in the Bronze-Silver range can take part in their own LCS tournament in Dragon League. Players are assigned to one of 10 teams randomly and each Wednesday play 2 Bo1 series against other teams in the league. By the end of the regular season, the top 6 teams will enter playoffs where each series will be Bo5! Each team will also have a dedicated coach who will help them with both micro and macro game strategy. This season we are also allowing you to signup with a friend! Please remember that both players must sign-up! We are also going to be holding a preseason tournament for Dragon League on January 20th at 6pm CST where you can get a preview of the regular season and interact with similar players. Participation in this tournament is optional but can increase your chances of making a team!

Elder League (Premade) - Elder League has been completely revamped from past seasons. Premade teams are now welcome to sign-up for Elder League. The rank restriction has also been changed now to be Diamond 3 and below. However, we will require that teams have an average ranking of Platinum 3 to help ensure competitive teams across the board. Similar to Dragon League, teams will play 2 Bo1 series against other teams on Thursday. By the end of the regular season, the top 6 teams will enter playoffs where each series will be Bo5! Teams will be expected to provide their own coach as well as designate a team owner who controls the roster - this is the only person who should fill out the Elder League sign-up form.

Coaching - Coaches are the lifeblood of Ascension eSports, and we wouldn't be anywhere without them. We're always looking for more coaches, so if you have any interest in passing on your knowledge of the game, feel free to check out the dragon league signups - there's a section there for coaches. If you are new to coaching or want to learn to coach, this is the right place as well! Coaches will work directly with veteran staff members to help them work with their teams more effectively.

Casting - For both dragon and elder leagues, our production crew will be providing streams for anticipated matchups each week! If you are interested in becoming a caster, streamer, or graphics artist, we would love to welcome you to our team as well! If you want to know more, you can find information on our subreddit and Discord, both of which will be linked down below. If you want to check out the work of our very talented casting staff, please take a look at our YouTube, in which nearly all our casted Elder and Dragon games are uploaded.

Individual & Team Stats - Players participating in Dragon and Elder leagues will have their stats shown on a weekly basis after their games! This is a great way to see your progress throughout the season, figure out where you can improve, and how you stack up against the rest of the league!
