currently im almost silver II and won 8/9

Yea, it makes you look like you are hiding something.
If people want to see your past season ranks they can go to sites like this:
http://na.op.gg/summoner/userName=+Budds+
Where they can put their mouse over your other seasons ranks to see what they were.
For yours it shows: Season 4 you were Gold 5 Season 5 you were Silver 2 Season 6 you were Gold 2
So saying you were Gold 2 last season is better than saying you were Plat 3 2 seasons ago.
Also, it is impossible to elo decay to anything lower than Gold 1 75 LP from Plat 5. This means you can decay in Plat5+ but once you decay from Plat 5 0 LP it puts you at Gold 1 75LP and then you no longer decay.
