When league of legends started out as a small game with little infrastructure it made sense to charge users for champions, they needed a way to keep the lights on. But now league is the biggest moba game to ever exist! Yet riot has not changed a thing to how they charge their costumers. It currently costs more than $600 USD to play any champion you want. That is an insane number!

I Personally feel that the current champion pool and the price to get all of them is extremely uninviting to new players. I want league to continue with its success, but when new players see how much money would have to be spent to acquire all champions many will feel cheated. Especially because a good champion pool is critical to success in the game.

With the new leveling system Riot claims its trying to make it easier for new players to have a good champion pool. But I only see this working if by level 30 a new account will have almost all if not all champions. I think this is the first time riot has implemented a tool for players to get any items for free without a catch. The hex-tech system was really just another way for Riot to make even more money by baiting people into thinking that using it would be "worth it".

Riot has become worth billions but they have never seemed to care about their costumers. I just want league of legends to keep growing, and honestly I think if they made their game more inclusive by releasing all champions to everyone there wouldn't be any competition for League of Legends in the industry of moba gaming.

this game is not a pay to win, you can only purchase a champion to use them not to have a better champion. besides with enough playtime you can own all the champions anyway so essentially they are free you just have to work to get them.

until the loot crafting is changed you can simply get all the 3150 champions and lower normally then combine three champion shards and get the higher priced ones for around 500 or more ip off

I didn't bothering reading since there is no reason to.

Why I am saying no is 2 reasons.

A. Its always been a way for them to make money, why change? Just how it is. B. You can get all champs with IP so no, you don't have to pay 600 dollars for the champs, you can get them for free. Just takes time which players need since most suck at the game,

Mcdonalds and Wendys are million/billion dollar companies, why should they charge for their food? Sounds stupid doesn't it? Same concept here.

Also Hex-Tech is free shit, spin it however you want, that will always be true.

The system is fine they way it is. The more expensive champions are generally more difficult to pick up than the new ones. This is to discourage newer players from buying them first.

Free week champions give people the opportunity to try out new champions they might be interested in getting so they don't go in to a purchase blind. Also, although I own 100+ champions, I only like to play about 5-10 of them. I've owned those 5-10 champions within the first couple months I started playing. The champion pool is too big for them all to be free. It will scare off newer players who know less about the mechanics of league.

I tried Dota 2 and League at the same time. I left Dota 2 for League because there were too many options to start off with. With League, I only had to worry about the 8 free champions there were a week.

If anyone wants all the champions for free then they do not understand two things:

  1. Riot is a company, get over it

  2. If you really love the game then you will realize that making a champion cost IN GAME MONEY is very nice of Riot, many games have pay exclusive characters, be glad this doesnt

I can't tell if you're trolling or you legitimately don't realize that you can get all the champions for free....

I haven't spent a single RP to buy a champion, I own all of them. It took some time playing over the years, but I have them all. Completely free to me. Not to mention, hextech crafting IS free, unless you have the willpower of a walnut and keep buying chests and keys.
