I just completed this using this team comp: Renekton Top Fiora Mid Rek'Sai Jungle Leona ADC Taric Support

You'd be REALLY surprised, but a Taric/Leona lane brutalized the shit out of Ezreal and Sona. The CC kept them locked down, and Taric specifically can deal loads of damage without needing to actually build damage. Late game, Taric's ultimate is a lifesaver, as it can seriously save your all melee team from disaster.

Another notable "melee" champ is Kayle. People forget she's melee because people never actually play her melee. Ivern is similar, in that he can shift back and forth, plus he has the added bonus of helping your team get to where they need to.
