Creating serious Challenger team (I AM NOT PLAYING)

Hello, I am a bronze scrub that knows I will never be good enough to play in the LCS or NACS. What I do know is that I have a talent for running and/or coaching teams. My goal is to create a team that will be aiming to make it into the summer NACS and contend for a mid table finish. Granted, it will be hard, and there will probably be changes. I promise you that I will 1) Not play (IM TRASH PLAYER), and 2) Will make sure that this team will be successful. My goal is to be involved in the pro scene. I have contacts in the pro scene (ShorterACE and others), and I have also jumped on an opportunity to work with Coast. That means that there will be ample scrims, and the opportunity to go pro. Feel free to post questions on here, on twitter (include @corvustar0), or add me on game at tar0 with the questions. I hope to be hearing from you D1-Challenger players soon!!

Regards, Zach "tar0" Miles

How could you possibly be a coach if you are in bronze? You obviously don't know enough about the game to the point where you can give advice to others.

I also doubt he has the funds to support a gaming house a few miles next to the server in Cali or to pay a team of 5 players any kind of minimum salary for one year or even a few months. I estimate a minimum of 200k is required to sponsor a gaming house in Cali and even then the players would be getting poverty wages (hardly more attractive than a real job and more opportunity risk) unless they bolster their income with streaming and selling crap like branded t-shirts.

I am not looking to make a brand yet. Just a team. Once things come together, which would take a few won tourneys, then I would begin talks for a gaming house. Most Challenger teams, unless they are set up by an organization already there, do not live in the same house.

I am not looking to argue, but I did say coach, and manager. I would eventually find a new coach when the team would be created. I will be honest here. Rank doesn't mean anything when it comes to watching it and talking about it.

Coaching Isn't just about talking and watching matches, you need to know comps, you need to have an IMMENSE amount of game knowledge, if you are bronze then you obviously don't have a large amount of game knowledge to tell them what they did wrong.

You could definately be a team manager though, that has very little to do with coaching although you would have to raise funds.

There was a story that came out last week about a one handed player that made gold. So even if you were physically disabled your IMMENSE game knowledge should be able to get you out of bronze. What right do you have to try to coach any team, let alone a challenger level one?

You should probably post your qualifications and mention whatever financial backing you have if you want any serious responses

You live at or can move to California? Can you host a group of people in a gaming house? Pay them salaries, pay for the insurance to protect them and yourself? Pay for a dedicated business internet line and professioanl DDos protection services? If you cannot do any of these for players none of them will want you to 'manage' them.

read what I said above. That answers your issues. Once tourneys are won, then the house and internet would be purchased. Even Enemy just recently moved into a house together, and that was after two months of play time together under the Enemy brand. It takes a while for it to get to that point, and if people are not willing to do that, then I do not want them playing for me.

And why do you care? I would not accept an unranked player on this team.

Think the point of the "Are you in Cali" question is related to the lower ping on the west coast, if you do eventually get a team together then it would probably be best if you don't need to go cross country to work with the team in person.
