I could honestly use some help from a duo partner. I am finding it very difficult to climb as the match making system seems to be against me. I am not asking for much, just someone else who might feel a similar way about their current ranked situation. Currently in silver 5 but was up to silver 3 and got pushed back. I am looking to get to high gold as a goal.

Well climbing to gold is pretty easy if you stick to 3-4 champs in 2 of your best roles and pick based on what would be good on their picks... Otherwise you might want to wait a month or two for people to get back to where they were last season (plats from last season in gold/plat range... silvers in low silver/bronze). this means you might be being placed against better people. If you do play then focus on getting better (how was x person able to kill me at x point in the game). learning the matchups for midlane helped me win much more
