Looking for Club - Enhance my game

Hello Zakarn here,

 I've been playing LoL for quite a few years now but mostly just for fun. I've usually got a pleasant demeanor which has earned me the Honorable Opponent badge. While I haven't been very competitive before I have realized something that I need to step up my game. I need friends that play LoL. Living in a remote northern Canadian town doesn't really give me much of a chance to meet people I don't already know and none of them play LoL, at least not like I do. Even though I want to be more competitive I don't want to get sucked into a whirlpool of immature trolling name calling, occasional trash talk is fine but I'm here to play a game not see who can be the biggest asshole.

 I do well and hold my own in normal matches but when I try to solo in ranked I have discovered what I'm missing, consistency. I need to find a group of people willing to play matches with me, offer advise, and most of all play together and learn how my teammates play. It's about teamwork and the best teamwork is knowing how my ADC (if I'm supp)  will behave in bot, will they be aggressive, passive, do they sometimes roam, etc. That's the problem with randoms is I never know what style of player I will get. 

 That brings me to a little about myself. I am comfortable in any role on the team but my weakest role is ADC, I have yet to find a champion I like/am good at. I play a minimum of a match a day, more if I am able. I do have a family, 4 kids and a wife, so it can be a little noisy if we use voice chat so I usually lurk in the background with my mic on PTT. That is another thing I think is necessary for a game like this, voice chat, even if its just listening to others give warnings or advise. I live on the West Coast of Canada and if you are in the US we are on the same time zone as Phoenix Arizona, we don't do daylight savings which might mess me up from time to time. This is my first time reaching out to the community to establish connections with other people who share my love for this game so I hope I'm doing this right. 

 I am not familiar with any real mods or companion apps or other things that can help me improve but are not going to get me banned for using them. So if you have any suggestions I'm willing to try. I would love to lean and grow with a static group of people instead of playing with a box of chocolates (Forest G.). Playing together doesn't even have to be focused on ranked games but I do prefer the 5v5 Summoners Rift to the other game modes. I'm anyone reading this will know how to search up my summoner name for stats and the like, so please snoop and let me know if you have any questions.
