IGN: Josh Sand
Age: old
Rank: Gold 2
S5 Rank: Gold 5
Main Role: Support (Jungle secondarily)
Top 4 Champs: Nautilus, Tahm Kench, Nami, and Leo are my highest win rate champs, but I consider my champion pool to be about 8-ish strong
Shot-calling? I'm comfortable shot calling if I happen to be in the jungle. If I am playing support, I am more helpful in the mid and late game as a secondary shot caller who can bring up things that the main caller might need to know at that time. (Waves pushing in when drag is spawning in 30, we might be strong enough to do baron now, top laners TP is still down, etc.)
Creative Piece Of Info On Yourself: I like making vod analysis videos for my teams.
Can you take constructive Criticism? I like any insight other players or coaches can offer me. That's really a primary way you can improve.
Scale 1 to 10 how much you rage (10 being highest 1 being lowest): 2 or a 3. Though when it happens, it's never at my teammates. It's more about how frustrating certain champs are to play against (COUGH Yasuo).
Pros: Given my current elo, I think I am good at analysis and I enjoy improving my understanding of team comp strategy. I am a pretty calm presence on my teams and I have been told I sometimes help people from going on tilt. I am able to ask people to adjust their playstyle in a way that doesn't embarrass them.
I pair well with aggressive ADC players. I pick smart team fights. I am good at engage champs, as well as champs that can counter assassins like Lulu or Tahm Kench. I have a wide champion pool and if I get a late pick in the draft, I can really disrupt the enemy team's strategy.
Cons: I have a lot of trouble shot calling from behind (tend to get quiet), and I can't be a good primary shot caller unless I am playing jungle. Sometimes in the mid to late game (if my ADC is doing well), I can get so caught up trying to create a pick or hard engage, that I might overlook that I need to be peeling. So I occasionally need verbal reminders from my teammates if I need to reign it in a little bit.
I honestly don't feed (most of my champ KDA's are 3+), but I sometimes need a reminder from my lane partner to pull the aggression back if the enemy duo gets the first kills. I can sometimes go for a revenge kill right after if we have summoner advantage, but if my partner wants to switch to passive farming, they just gotta let me know so I can mentally switch gears. :)
Also, overly chatty coms in game distract me. I feel like there is a specific set of information that coms should be reserved for and there doesn't necessarily need to be granular detail streaming out to everyone every second of the match.
