Can someone, anyone PLEASE please help me to get gold (advice/duo partner)

I've broken my ankle and currently can't work so i thought i would get to gold in the time i have off. Except I didn't realize what a mental struggle it would be, I thought it shouldn't be too hard, i always retain a positive attitude in games, never screw around stick to what i'm good at, and communicate, but I play mostly jungle and i'm always finding myself 1v1ing their lane opponent in ganks and soloing dragon just to name a few things, but I just came off a 12 loss streak which really make me realize that I'm doing something wrong because obviously that stuff doesn't happen to people doing the right things.

I can't really notice where I'm going wrong so an outside perspective would really help, any advice is welcome from any division (as long as it's not troll) and a duo partner would be a blessing (my division or higher which was silver 1 before losing streak back to s3 now)

Thanks for your time it's much appreciated

I'm going to leave a few tips which may seem pretty generic but work wonders.

  1. Ward more. Looking at your 3/2/7 Brand game you only placed 6 wards the entire 28 minute game. This is inexcusable especially since you purchased a sightstone. Looking at other matches you typically do well in wards placed but you need to make sure you're constantly providing vision every game. Also more control wards.
  2. Speaking of wards upgrade your red trinket level 9. Looking at your past 20 games where you did get the red trinket it was only upgraded in 4 despite you hitting level 9. Should this be something you forget create an item set with it in it.
  3. Don't type. A lot of the information you need to display can be done via pings. Should someone start to flame resist the urge to respond and simply mute them. If they show signs of toxicity they're unlikely to help you much later via chat.
  4. Look at the map every 10 seconds. Having your eye on the map lets you keep tabs of enemy junglers every time he pops up, enables you to warn allies of ganks, objectives and so on.
  5. Time your camps. Keeping a timer in the jungle for everything lets you know when you can wait a small bit.
  6. Objectives > Kills. While you can chase down a 10 hp camille through the jungle why bother when you can get a tower out of it. Remember the only way you win is by destroying the nexus and the only reason kills happen is because the opponents are preventing you from doing so.

1: yes 2: yes 3: yes 4: you should be looking at the map every 1-2 seconds, especially in lane, if you are playing support, you are only looking at the minimap and playing the actual game from the corner of your eye. same with any lane you play. 5: yes 6: yes

I mainly just wanted to comment on the minimap. 10 seconds is WAY to long, you need to be doing it always, in teamfight, of course focus on what is going on in front of you, but in lane, 1-2 seconds.

You are 100% correct on this. I posted 10 seconds as it will be a bit easier to get used to. I forgot to mention to gradually lower the time.

Thanks for the solid feedback guys, I'm trying to improve a lot of these points already, and with the wards, I'm trying to stop placing them willy nilly and put them in actual useful places, that's why i'm more particular and stingy with my wards. The minimap is a hard one, when I'm laning, because I'm kinda new and not that good I need to give my lane a lot of attention or I will do poorly, I look at the minimap as much as i can without sacrificing lane performance but it's nowhere near 1-2 seconds and I'll go as far to say i don't look at it at all in more intense situations, like when I'm trying to make a pick with brand.

I always kick myself when i get back to lane post lv 9 and relize i forogot to upgrade trinket AGAIN haha.

If you made it to S1 you can def make it to G5. If you want help check out foxdroplol or phylol on Youtube. These guys give some general advice on how to climb and to be honest I think it can help you out a lot, might even help you climb to plat. I think maybe focus on your mechanics more and your macro on the game, such as objectives wave pushing etc. I'm only G5 currently but i made it to G1 last season (Almost plat). These guys leaving comments are also very helpful and feel free to take their advice.
