Foolish noob, 1 year ago

[zombie-brand-facepalm] I was foolish and new to league a year ago when I did the ranked assessment. I got stuck in bronze 5. I have taken the year off or ranked till lately to prepare myself for the climb. I have done extensive studying of micro and macro game formats as well as a great deal of mechanical skills improvements on my part.

I am looking for more active players or any for that matter that might be interested in playing regularly. I would assess myself at either a silver or low gold skill level, but i am currently struggling to get out of bronze for i don't have many people to duo or dynamic que with.

Feel free to test my skills and knowledge of the game.

If interested feel free to add me in league "Stickyburdoo".

Not trying to be rude but if you were really low gold, you would at least be mid to high silver and out of bronze, you cant blame the fact you cant find a duo or a dynamic que for climbing. The people that actually deserve to be in gold and are at the level got there themselves. I did it, my friends did it, 99% of the pro players did it. I was the same way, figured I didnt belong in bronze and just had to find a duo que, then I realized how stupid that is and I just wasnt good enough to get out myself so I wasnt really silver level yet. I picked up hard carry champs, practiced them spammed them in ranked and carried myself to gold from bronze2. Of course there are those guys who get carried there, and then when they try to play games by themselves without their duo in solo que they get rekt. So its never a good idea to get carried and its better to try and get there solo, otherwise your more likely to end up being the guy who gets carried and then goes into solo que in an mmr you dont actually belong in and get rekt.

My highest ranking was gold2 this season so If you want I can help you learn more about the game etc if you want to add me, I play with and learn from my diamond friends as well as having experience is high elo 5s teams which is far more competitive than solo que. Im not a mean person Im just trying to inform you that thinking you belong in a certain elo without actually being there especially if you are stuck in bronze thinking you deserve out of bronze is not the correct mindset to have if you really want to go somewhere in this game. I can go into detail about anything you want as I too study league as much as I can. But there is a difference between knowing about how to do something and actually being able to consistently do it in game and having the mechanics to pull it off in the first place. Anyways if you wish i can help you try to get out of bronze, but I cant carry you there, (mostly because im currently gold and cant ranked que with people below silver.)

There are so many reasons why people get placed in bronze , but doesn't mean they're bad players (all the time). If you're struggling to get out of bronze, you most likely belong there. If I could give you a general piece of advice from just what I read, It would be play whatever you're good at. Building a comp is good but normally in bronze people don't even use comps correctly. You'll just end up stuck on someone you don't feel comfortable on. In high Elo games its okay, but in bronze/silver it's irrelevant IMO. Also, Don't focus on what's meta or broken if you can't play it either. I got placed in bronze the beginning of the season as well, but I got out practically playing nothing but Soraka and climed to P5.

I'd be more willing to go over everything with you or spectate a few of your games.

First off, I would like to thank you for responding.

However, I would like to say, "Not trying to be rude" but you stepped on a soapbox for a second their and missed my whole point. I never once asked, yourself or anyone to carry me out of bronze. I never said I deserve to be a true blue silver, or a gorgues gold player. I have just started back into the ranked system after taking a year sabbatical from the ranked structure to improve on my mechanical skills. I do agree I have a lot missing in my game play and I have been working on it. You did point out a key flaw in my play style. "hard carry champs" I normally don't pick those champs, because I strive to be a team player and often, I thought I was alienating my team by choosing a hard carry champion rather than the utility based champion that, to my belief however flawed that belief might be, might better fit our team comp. I understand your point and I have also sent you a friend request for I think you have a valid point and I think it would be interesting to speak with you about improving my game skills. However, you never stated how long your climb took to get out of bronze. I never stated I had given up altogether on it. I apologize that my post was to short. In the current world of online mindless bloggers that post about anything that pops into their mind, people feel strong desires to jump on anyone who is out of line...I am not one of those individuals. I think I'd be a horrible blogger, the whole word and name sounds like a bad beer at the pub bounded to make me barf blog post hence. I really didn't feel like I needed to post a great deal of reasoning to what I was doing. I started the climb out of bronze 5 and within 2 days made it to bronze 3 but do to a lot of afk players and toxic players refusing to work with others or intentionally feeding I dropped down. I recognize that, that is in every bracket, but what I gained from that was that I had potential, to climb out of the bronzy, bronzy...ness that my bronze buttucks had been graced with. If you are still interested in talking to me or play matches with me I am fine with that at your convenience, but please leave your soapbox at home. At least get to know me and realize I'm a class act jerk first before you give me the dunce cap. Smiles Friendly I by no means am I an expert in this game, and I really don't like assessing my own skills and giving myself a skill level I would rather have my abilities speak for themselves, however when searching for new active players to learn from and play with online, many people will not even engage conversation intellectual or otherwise unless they feel other individuals are worthy of their time. I know i have a great deal to learn and would love the opportunity to learn from someone who has polished their skills. My hope though is that, whoever that individual may be, will leave the soap box at home or let me smile for the camera at my own delightfully intimate soapbox firing squad.

Respectfully, and friendly yours, Stickyburdoo

Thank you! LOL First and foremost I find it delightfully refreshing to speak to intelligent people about a game I enjoy. I would love to take you up on your offer Omnify, but I refuse to be a burden or an anchorNautilus to anyone who is pleasantly climbing to their hearts content. If you are still interested in assisting my learning process, feel free to add me and text me whenever you are bored out of your mind or want to abuse a low elo player . smiles cheesily I mean that entirely with gratitude and humor I will willingly and thankfully accept any league abuse that will help me improve...except lemons...lemons are tart...lemons burn the eyes with their juices, "It burns us". Any who...sounds fun and educational. Thank you again for yalls responses. I look forward to having my face bludgeoned with the book of league knowledge.

With much gratitude and sadness for all the poro's who gave their lives to the cause. Stickyburdoo [zombie-nunu-tears]

I started bronze 5 last season, im now gold 5, your biggest mistake was taking a break and not playing ranked. you only get better with practice, not worse.
