Challenger Series team forming. Want to go pro? Inquire within.
Reddit League of Legends Community,
I’m excited to inform you that there is a Challenger Series team that is in the process of forming this year from the ground up with intentions of entering the LCS in 2016. The team will come into fruition sometime during the Summer split or shortly after. A gamer house will stood up not far away from LA, California.
I’m here to gauge interest and to begin contacting key members who are interested in becoming a part of the once in a lifetime experience. My partners and I are looking for challenger level players. If you’re interested but are at the masters level then I ask that you do your very best to break into challenger tier before contacting me. We currently have some ideal candidates that we want to build the team around but we are more than willing to seek out unknown players who can dominate the scene just as well.
We are also considering a player of at least masters level or higher to become a scout/coach for our team as well. In order to fit the bill for this position you must be knowledgeable of the game in its current state, meta, proper item builds, objective pincers, and the overall intelligent strategy to win games in convincing fashion. Lastly, but most importantly, you must be a people person if you want to be a coach. Players need someone who can inspire them, keep their morale high, and provide proper advice/strategy to continue to move forward.
Ultimately, our goal is to be one of the best. We aren’t here to climb through the CS, join the LCS and just become relegated in the first season. We are here to annihilate the competition and become one of the top tier teams that the scene has to offer.
Below is what we seek from our future professional players…
Professional Player Requirements:
•17 years old, ideal candidates will be 18+
•Mature – We will not accept nor tolerate players who cannot function as a team. This means no bashing your teammates or passing blame. We want to see constructive criticism. We don’t want nor need attitude issues that tear teams apart through strife and dysfunction
•Challenger Level Player
•Strong Fortitude We want players who do not crumble under pressure. We will coach you but you need to dig deep when you face stiff competition. If you can’t handle pressure/intense games then please do not apply until you can
•Strong communicator (Communication is extremely important for team games)
•Dedicated & Passionate (We want players who have the drive to succeed and who want to win)
Highly Preferred:
•Personable
•Charismatic and/or Stage Personality - Are you comfortable with clean trash talking? Or how about working the stage? Dyrus and Idra are players that fit this bill
•Confident – This goes in line with the bullet point above. Would you rather follow a teammate who is confident in themselves or someone who is always skittish about their ability to make plays? Players rally behind confidence and those who can keep morale high. We, will, WIN!
•Min-maxing - Players who do the research to squeeze the most out of the potential dominating. Example--- Item Builds, Mastery Builds, Strategies, etc
•Streamer with a following --- We are looking for players who are incredibly good at the game but can also round the fans up to support the team. You need only think about how fans support TSM on the professional stage to see how important this is.
•Reflection - Ability to reflect on games and understand what you personally did wrong to improve, as well as your teammates.
•Open Minded - It’s okay to be stubborn but you need to be able and willing to keep your mind open for differences in opinion.
