Sway Gaming is looking for a Jungler and ADC around the Plat level.

Sway Gaming is a serious long-term team looking for dedicated players.

Sway is a part of CompeteLeague's Gold/Plat Premium League, which is an LCS style league where you play 2-3 games every week.

We are looking for a Jungler and AD Carry to fill out our roster.

Sway has a set times for team practice, which is Monday, Thursday, and Friday from 7 PM EDT to 11 PM EDT, and for CompeteLeague, which is Tuesday from 8 PM EDT to 12 AM EDT. If you can not make those times, please do not continue.

We are looking for smart and aggressive players to fit the proactive style that the team wants to play. The ability to notice opportunities when they are available, and the aggressiveness to take the advantages from that are very key to playing League at a high level.

Specifically for Jungler, we want players who focus heavily on successfully ganking for the lanes, warding the enemy jungle, and communicating with the laners. The jungler should always be looking for opportunities to gank because they have the most map pressence in the game and can go help whichever lane they want. Games are often decided on which Jungler can impact the map more with their ganks/pressure. Warding is extremely valuable for this style. With good wards in the enemy jungle, we can all play more aggressive and take advantage of the enemies mistakes in lane without having a large amount of risk. However, communication is the most important aspect of jungling at a competitive team level. Junglers who excel at this are able to make more successful ganks and help all their laners play correctly, depending on what information they are able to communicate.

As for AD Carry, we are looking for players who are looking to win lane, can be self sufficient if needed, and are smart with their positioning. The way we want to play bot lane is very aggressive and lane focused. In order to win lane, the ADC should know how to trade aggressively without losing too much farm and when and how to follow up the Support if they start a skirmish. An often overlooked strategy in most of League is the ability for the Support to roam. In order for that strategy to work the ADC should know how to properly deal with the pressure of a 2v1, at least until the Support returns. The most important part of playing AD Carry is how to position in team fights. Often a worse ADC mechanically will impact a game more if they position well than a stronger mechanical ADC who positions poorly.

Mechanics and knowledge are important for each individual role, but overall synergy with the team and good communication are absolutely vital to getting a spot on the roster.

In terms of out of game requirements, having a smartphone is highly preferable. Sway as an organization hosts a Discord server, and the team uses that for in-game communication and for text communication outside of the game as well. A Twitter account is also required of all members of Sway. You can either make a new account or just change the current one.
