Game mode: Warding ball

The twist : nexus is immune to champion and minion damage. There is a new point system where vision grants "awareness" points.

Vision gives points:

  1. Nexus : all game
  2. Turrets : while they exist
  3. Monster vision: Rift spirit, Scuttle Crab
  4. Wards : while they exist
  5. Minions : while they are alive
  6. Champions : while they are alive or undead (ex: Karthus, Yorick, Sion )

To optional but way harder to implement:

  1. Champion skills : while they are alive or undead
  2. Traps and marked enemies (Champion activated Nidalee trap, Champion with Low hp near Warwic, Reksai underground movement vision )
  3. Value for placed ward.
  4. Value for skill used (includes smite on invisible champions and monster vision).

Having value of a ward would make this truly unique gameplay. But in order for that you work, there should be some rules that would remove few obvious abuse cases. For example when it makes sense to ward in range existing ward.

#Bad use cases:

Use case 1 : I buy item 2049 or item 2045 and ward 2 or 3 times in same place. Use case 2 : I ward over friendly ward just placed Use case 3 : I ward random remote location as trinklet or ward is ready

#Good use cases

Use case 1 : I ward a location where ward is expiring soon Use case 2 : I ward different ward over or near existing ward (serves different function) Use case 3: I ward different sight range ward that was placed

Also mistakes like : I missed a bush and rewarded very close again to gain vision should not get punished.

Few additional rules:

  • Wards near Major objectives give more points. If major objective is killed shortly after more points.
  • Vision detecting enemy give more points. If enemy is killed shortly after more points.
  • Vision detecting invisible units give more points. If enemy is killed shortly after more points.

This is just rough idea, feel free to extend or use parts of it.
