The new Summoner's Rift

TLDR: I hate the towers in the new Summoner's Rift, because my friend destroyed it with only a Doran's blade with Kalista in the first seven minutes...

So, I am a member of the public beta environment, and I was recently playing the beta of the new Summoner's Rift. I like everything about it thus far with the exception of one thing... Towers, I played with my friend and the tower turrets were useless. I know that everything is still in the works, but I really hope that the towers will not stay at 1200 hp, and that they'll at least do a little more than tickle champions. While playing with my friend (we were both playing Kalista, who I have a whole books worth of problems with, but that's not the point) we were about seven minutes in and I decided to go back and buy some items, nobody had died yet and we were pretty even in farm with both of us only having a Doran's blade. While in the store I was alarmed to hear my tower had been destroyed. I looked thinking it was one of the two other lanes consisting of only minions (there was no option for adding bots in the game) but it was not, it was my friend... killing my tower... with only a Doran's blade.
