What would happen if teambuilder had a fill option, or you could queue up for multiple roles. I.E you wanted to play Sion (because new Sion is frikkin awesome) but you didn't care if you were jungle/top or if you were assassin/tank/fighter. If you could select multiple roles/styles you would fit into more teams yes? And if that worked, you would (on average) have a shorter queue time.

I don't think this will help at all. I play teambuilder almost exclusively, and the problem is the huge lack of people willing to play support. It doesn't matter when you queue a game or how many friends you have with you- If you aren't a support, you will be waiting on one, and usually for a while. I think Riot just needs to suck it up and hand out an IP bonus for playing needed roles. They already have math that shows them wich roles are in the most demand- Just tack a nice bonus on that. An icon or something could be nice, too.
