New Mode Idea: Overdrive

The idea for this mode came from me thinking about how you could balance out URF mode a bit, and I'm not sure if it's been suggested yet so here's what I came up with: Double cooldowns Buying on credit

So I was thinking, people really like being able to spam abilities, and there are a ton of gameplay opportunities that open up as a result of being able to do so. I was thinking that in this mode, you could allow players to use an ability while it's on cooldown. If you do, you gain a "red" cooldown which lasts much longer than usual and/or have some other adverse effects (such as a debuff akin to exhaust or other stat reduction). Not sure if this should apply to summoner spells.

For the second idea, I was thinking that you start with the usual 475 gold, but you can spend another 475 gold, for example, on "credit". If you make the gold back, you get to carry on as usual. But if you don't, you can't buy items or regenerate HP/mana at fountain until it's paid off (or some other punishment).

Both of these ideas have a lot of implications that I haven't thought out, but they introduce some interesting risk/reward gameplay. If anyone wants to give critiques/feedback, or elaborate on these ideas, feel free.
