LP gains and losses...Completely out of line

Winning gains of LP are incredibly low, going on win streaks and then getting a team or two in a row you can't carry sets you back your entire win streak, i average 4-8 wins in a row, then i get 2 or 3 bad teams following that, my LP loss average is much higher then the gains from winning 8 in a row. 1 loss is like losing 2-3 wins of LP. Makes absolutely no sense.

If you're losing more LP than you gain, it's because your long term win rate is lower than 50%. Short term streaks don't fix that. The system is trying to correct your rank because you're currently above your MMR.

o_o Because you have a negative win rate, like...Jesus dude, 66 to 99?

Edit: Sorry 88 to 113, bit better I guess.

I can honestly say 40% of my losses are due to afk's or people with less than 100 normal wins. In example the game i just got out of. Our ahri decides to afk when we were in the lead and wouldn't play. didn't say a word either. The rest of my losses, some on my part for getting out played due to them warding better than my team or having a better team composition. I mean after a certain point there isn't really a lot of balance in the mmr system.

LP gains and losses are based on your hidden MMR compared to your visible ranking. The system roughly expects a certain MMR range for a given rank. If your hidden MMR is lower than the expected MMR for your current rank, you'll gain less LP per win and lose more LP per loss. As you continue winning, your MMR will rise, and the system will grant more LP on wins and deduct less on losses.

Basically, play more ranked. It'll help stabilize your MMR with your ranking so your LP gains/losses are more even. It'll also lower variance by limiting the impact of teammate shortcomings on your overall ranked stats.
