3s ranked frustration

I am on a silver 2 Twisted Treeline ranked team and I have a problem. We keep facing diamonds and plats (Golds as well but we can handle those) It's very frustrating to fight our way to silver 2 and hit this wall of talent FAR beyond our current division. These players are not Diamond or plat in 3s ranked, only in solo Q. My thought is why not link all ranked play elo in some way. Maybe they can be locked a little more closer to their Solo rank, maybe within a division. such as bronzes won't play golds and silvers won't play against plats. Now if you are on a team with someone of a higher division you are locked to THEIR division. Admittedly we have a fair number of games against plats and even a few against diamonds, but still we are stuck at this Elo playing against this Talent which holds us back from advancing any further. I WANT THAT MORG SKIN! lol There must be a way for us to face people who are closer to our division. Ideas for the Matchmaking system anyone?
