can someone explain?

Ok, I struggled my way threw bronze, and finally carrying my way to silver. I will admit the last two divisions i abused a couple of champs but i got out of bronze. Those two champs were nasus and yi. How ever when i finally got to silver my win rate started to climb again. Right now, I am in my promo's for silver 3 am i just luck or is there that much of a difference in bronze and silver. Today woke up new to silver after a day and going to bed in promo's for silver 3. P.s. I have lost only 3 games since I got in to silver and won 2 4v5's today because people listened. I am happy.

It feels like the Tiers (bronze silver etc.) mean something, but they often don't. Your MMR can get you placed against people too skilled to be in their current rank, making the games seem harder even though the ranks are the same; it can also work the other way and place you against less skilled opponents and you breeze through the ranks.

You may very well be a far better player than you think, having come from the infamous Bronze Tier, but you might also be facing low MMR players.
