Are Summoner's Rift Normal MMR and Summoner's Rift Ranked MMR the same or independent?

I know that each "queue type" has its own separate MMR, but the example given on the official Riot page is between Summoner's Rift vs. Dominion/ARAM.

Are Summoner's Rift "normal" and Summoner's Rift "ranked" completely separate MMRs with no influence on each other?

If I go lose 50 games in a row on normal will it affect my ranked MMR at all? Do we have a definitive answer on this?

Thanks in advance.

They are separate. I'll check for a specific link in a minute.

Here is a Rioter post from a year ago on the League of Legends Reddit.

Hey, I'm the design lead on the leagues system. The MMRs for normal and ranked games are changed independently based on your performance in those queues. There is no connection between the two. This means when you start playing ranked, you start with a clean slate and your placement in leagues is based solely on your performance in those 10 matches.

If it helps, I get matched with low Bronze players in team builder frequently. However, in Normal SR and Draft Pick SR I get matchmade with Mid Golds and upper Silvers.
