Possibility for a new event? Bilgewater confederation versus The shadow isles

I was wondering if riot was ever considering doing another special event like they did with the demacia vs noxus event. I was thinking since it appears riot is possibly setting up a showdown of Bilgewater versus the shadow isles either in story or event why not have a federation of loosely allied champions be able to volunteer to help repel the shadow isles like say Ionia or even demacia or noxus somehow gets involved. I am not saying they would on principle maybe more so in common interest basically to stop the shadow isles from getting too close to there lands. I was wondering if riot was interested in setting up another event and possibly a reward item we could buy in the rift shop depending on the winner team and this would likely determine if the shadow isles gets closer to Bilgewater or worse? Does this idea for a game event interest you? If so I'm not sure how this would work in game mechanics but I have some ideas. If you are looking at this post riot please consider it. I am sure there are some players looking for an event or series of events in game to start to go forward on the lore they would like to be a part of and are able to do good at. Please consider this idea. Thank you

Yes please Riot...do something like this to spice up League...new events like Poro King and URF are fine and dandy but a story line and maybe even some kind of team campaign mode would make a lot of people happy.

As long as they find a way to make money off of it, they may at least consider it.

I vote yes! This sounds like a fun and engaging event for the league community. I remember enjoying old lore events like the freljord one. Events like these can help bring the more depth and personality to the champions and make League more than just a competitive game. It helps keep the community involved and engaged together. It'll be fun to bring events like this back.

You mean Noxus vs Ionia? It was a good idea, but they've also flat out said they're not planning on doing anything like that again. They don't want to leave the fate of the lore to 10 players. And doing a massive version (like what Dawngate did) is pretty iffy with LoL. We'd have everything from server crashes to smurfs throwing things off.
