S4 Will be control oriented

As all of you might know, in the new summoners rift map, there will be a lot of major changes. One of these changes is the idea that dragon will no longer give global gold, and instead, it gives a stacking global buff. This means that teams that prioritize objectives (dragon - in this scenario) will have a major advantage.

While these changes might only cause a shift to control oriented champions, certain champions in particular (Nunu, Cho'Gath, Warwick, ..you get the picture) will be very powerful picks if used correctly. Perhaps there will be brawls for dragon in the very early parts of the game? There will definitely be a rise in strong-early game champs such as the already popular, Lee Sin and Pantheon if you want to do a lot of damage. Or perhaps you would want to go for a more well rounded kit such as Elise. There are a lot of other objective-control-champions, but you get the point.

What do you think of this idea?

What I'm really weirded out by is how Riot expects the crab thingy to be contested. Because on the one hand, it could potentially be a huge benefit in a dragon fight. But on the other, smite now has a 60 second cooldown unless you go for that weird Quick Smite thingy. If you burn your smite to secure the crab from the enemy team, you might be unable to actually contest or threaten dragon for over a minute. So, I do kinda wonder if that won't play into the hands of champs like Nunu, Gragas or Pantheon that don't rely on smite or ultimates to deal burst damage to creeps.

I actually kinda doubt that the Warwick/Nasus/Udyr style of 'control' jungling will work very well. A bit part of the new jungle seems to be an emphasis on providing rewards to teams that can control the entire map before actually contesting an objective. Red Buff will be more impactful in sieges, Still Waters and the Crab thingy will potentially be deciding factors in contesting dragon/baron, and so forth. Consistent aggressive play isn't something that those junglers are great at, tho.

The only reason you can call Warwick and Nasus control junglers is that their kits give them such insane sustain and damage to creeps that they can solo Dragon from very low levels and without many items. They lack the defensive mobility and skirmish potential to actually be of much use in contesting objectives over a long period of time - they just want to brute force that shit. Since the strategy of 'just rush dragon when they aren't looking' has been nerfed relative to the strategy of setting up vision control and investing resources into guaranteeing an advantageous fight, I expect brute force champions like Warwick to be less effective than control junglers like Gragas or Lee Sin.

I welcome a change in the game play. I am most curious to see what interesting strategies come of this addition.
