A New Game Mode Possibility.

Hello everyone. I know this is a vastly discussed topic, but i also know that everyone would enjoy a permanent new game mode to take a break from the rift ( and ARAM i guess because sometimes you want to have fun but also hone specific skills on a champion). Now this game mode I have been thinking about recently, is in theory a capture the flag kind of game mode. 1 lane, 6 people per team, and 2 flags. starting gold you will have 1500g and you will start at level 3 to get all your basic abilities in your kit. The basis of this game mode is simple, run up to where their nexus would be and obtain the flag, and then run back to your base with the flag in hand, if you reach your flag you score one point. BUT if your flag is currently being held you cannot capture it, you will first have to return your flag back to your base and then capture it. There are no turrets on the map, each flag cap is worth 150g and killing champions is worth 3/4's of the normal gold obtained as to prevent super snowballing and to still keep the game mode fun with the flags being priority. only 2 summoner spells will be available during this game mode. SEEK, when used it gives the location of the champion currently in posession of your flag for 2 seconds, 30 second team cooldown ( if your Graves uses it, Ahri cannot for 30 seconds.) HONE, discover the location of the enemy teams flag for 3 seconds. 30 second team cooldown ( same rules apply as SEEK ). There will be base camp counters you may only sit in the enemy teams base for 1 minute before you are teleported back to the middle, or just outside of the base ( just past the tier 2 turret in aram ) The Capture point ammount needed in order to come out with the win is 10 Captures!!!

Minions will also be disabled, so that no outside damage, or minion block effect your flag capturing abilities.

TL;DR In Essence a capture the flag game mode with no potential of camping spawn and a high priority towards flag caps as champion kills are worth less than normal. 1 lane, 6 champions (per team) and 2 flags.

Hope this is something that other people consider to be a good idea and maybe implemented into the game but until then, I hope you have a wonderful time out on the rift and Gg.

I would love to see this implemented on the game! sounds like a lot of fun, but would you have the option of choosing your own champion??

This sounds like a lot of fun!! I think i would love to play this after some ranked matches as a cool off or even a warm up mode! practice team communication and teamwork before hand! nice idea dude +1

would champs who go invisible, like shaco or rengar, still stay invisible or be visible when they have the flag? can you trade the flag off to other team members? can it be stolen by the enemy team? is there a time limit of how long you can have the flag? Like if you got the enemy team flag, can you have it for like 5 minutes trying to get your side? just some questions.

Great idea bro:) Wondering if you can recall and heal or only able to after death (like in aram) would there still be minions? without turrets minions seem useless

If you have something you think will improve the game please please please dont just keep it to yourself, i want this to be more of a community assisted creation, not just one mind. After all, League of Legends is a TEAM GAME!!! Help me make this game mode become reality!!!! Thank you everyone for your support :)

How would one "grab" the flag? Would it be something like Dominion's capture system? What kind of items would one be able to buy/what items would be banned? Would wards/blue trinkets be allowed? When the flag carrier is killed, would the flag be dropped where the person was standing, or would it just be sent back to the base?

It's a pretty good idea but it hinges a LOT on the same concepts as ARAM, as in poke will be extremely key in the early game, with hard engage becoming more important late. Very specific champions (think Varus for early/midgame, Malphite for late) will become pick or ban, which may cause issues. Nevertheless, it'll be a welcome break from ARAM and, dare I say it? A welcome side-grade to Dominion

nice mode i would play it. a king of the mountain mode would be awesome too like one camp hold it the longer possible the team who hold it 10 minute would win the game

Perhaps 1500 gold for each level, and gain a flat percentage of XP per 2 or 3 minutes (maybe 25 or 50%). Jungle camps would give a small amount of gold as well, in order to build up items (but they won't give any XP). This would replace the need for minions. If this were to become a 1-lane map perhaps have complete vision on your half of the map (minus grassy patches and the jungle).

Also, perhaps make it similar to SR, only without the side-lanes. Have a large jungle (perhaps two blue buffs?) for MP recovery. Each team has a couple of rapidly-respawning smaller jungle camps for small amounts of gold-farming, and a respawning barrier for each team to be able to break through (a sort of backdoor). The barrier and wall cannot be jumped over, spun through, or flashed over. This would allow teams to strategize in the game, instead of just brawling in the middle of the map.

In this mode you could have the option of getting two free trinkets: the trinket from Dominion (a set amount of immediate revives), and the Scrying Orb (for assassinations and scouting).

Enlarge the map so that it's maybe 125% bigger than SR so that the jungle becomes viable for farming and sneaking around; after all, having a single lane makes assassins rather hard to use, and I can attest that there are a lot of LoL players who love playing assassins.
