Idea to give dominion (+Riot maybe) some publicity

The idea is something that Riot (somewhat) does several times a year already. They have show matches with some of the LCS teams for the various special game modes (URF, Hexakill, DoomBots) or a mode just for that game (DMC vs. Nox). Whenever they hold these show matches the number of people playing that mode seems to increase afterward, people watch the pros play it and then want play as well.

So why not do this for dominion? It seems like it would be fairy simple to have a show match with LCS teams in dominion, since Riot already does that exact thing with other game modes. Riot could even use it to gain a bit of publicity for themselves and give to the community, which is something they and many LCS teams already do. I've seen many other tournaments in which a few teams come together and have a short tournament over 1 or 2 days with each team representing a charity of their choice. Instead of the winning team claiming the prize money for themselves, the people putting on the tournament donate that money to the charity which was represented by the winning team. By holding a dominion tournament with a few LCS teams Riot and dominion would get publicity and love, as well as Riot and the LCS teams being able to do some fun charity work and give back to their communities.

First win of the day: Dominion

Watch players flock to the mode in droves

It's so simple a brain dead monkey could have thought of it

It'll never happen because Riot wants Dominion to stay dead and be a sponge for bots.

Prove me wrong, Riot. (hint: they won't)

it would be awesome to see that. and I'd LOVE to see a LCS pros vs a Dominion team. it's happened in the past, but I want to see it live this time :o it would be so cool to have one of the LCS casters and one of the dominion casters both giving their takes on the match.

While I do agree with several of you in that the LCS teams probably wouldn't be playing at their peak level because they just don't have thousands of dominion games for experience, I don't think that would make any difference. Watching the show matches that LCS teams have played, it's apparent that they're not taking those games 100% seriously, they're just having fun with it (AD Swain anyone?). The purpose of having LCS teams play is because those teams attract more viewers, and regular players attempt to emulate them. People like to play game modes, champions, builds, etc. that they see pro players playing.

This whole idea is about publicity for dominion and Riot. LCS teams = publicity, giving to charity = publicity, show matches = publicity. More publicity (will hopefully) = higher interest in dominion.
