Heals are reduced by 50% already. In other words they aren't effective enough to outheal damage.
What really is bothersome are "shield on ally" abilities like Janna/Karma/Lulu. It can soak trice as much damage as any poke can make.
The only healer that's actually an issue now is Sona.
Alistar heals for so little it's a joke. I had an Alistar on my team last night that didn't take Mark... lol never seen anything so useless in my life. He even built AP. What heals? It was like having an Udyr with relic shield.
Soraka kills herself.
Nami actually has mana costs. No, really. She goes out of mana in seconds and has to devote her entire build to mana items to do anything.
Taric is melee.
Nid is pretty dumb but if your team can dodge spears then all she does is heal, so whatever.
What does that leave us with? The broke ass piece of shit that doesn't deserve to exist aka Sona: The Queen of Undeserved ARAM Victories. Want to know what Sona didn't need? Self-heals buffed by 25% and an AOE shield. The 50% heal nerf doesn't even matter cause she can't run out of mana. Ever.
