Historic game mode

For a featured game mode at some point, could there be a historic patch as a game mode? For example I was thinking the Season 1 worlds patch or maybe the Ionia vs Noxus showmatch patch, as as someone who started mid-late Season 3, i've often wondered what some of the old patches played like. In addition to probably being an easy game mode to implement (most of the code as already been written), it would be an interesting educational experiance for players who started in the more recent past(and no, this is not just me wanting to play old again). Thoughts?
