Dominion: Purely offensive "Wooglet's" option

Wooglet's is the deathcap of Dominion, therefore every burst AP has it as a core item. My issue with Wooglet's is that investing in Wooglet's also means investing in the stasis active. While this active is never bad, it's necessity varies between absolutely core to "it was helpful on that one play".

The core component of Wooglet's, for every mage, is the AP boost passive. This is why every mage is building it. Of course, if the stasis were on a separate item, there are a large amount of mages who will be building both for their core build. However, there are still mages who don't always need the stasis. There are some mages who don't need it provided they get ahead. Right now, there's no choice. It's a big expensive item, and regardless of a player's defensive needs, they need to buy Wooglet's for the AP boost.

What I'd like to see is that same passive on Wooglet's on an all offensive item. It happens often enough that I don't really care about having the stasis, but the AP boost is mandatory. Wooglet's can be the AP/Armor/defensive active item; and then there could be an AP/some stat/AP boost passive item for players who don't want to invest in the stasis to pick up the AP boost.

We used to have plain ol' Deathcap on Dominion and it was generally a terrible idea to rush it. Getting Magic Pen and CDR first is oft more important.

Most Mages end up snagging Wooglet's eventually, but let's be real here. How often is there not going to be some AD Bruiser or Assassin running around looking to ruin your day?

Well, if you're looking for raw burst then the one-two punch afforded by Echo and Lich are typically going to do the trick. On a pretty wide selection of the cast, Voidstaff gives you a larger damage boost than Wooglet's (or even Deathcap for that matter) assuming your target has any degree of magic resist. If you want PURE damage, then Guise/Void are pretty hard to beat in combination unless your base damage is tragically low.

I dunno. It seems to me that if you're looking to evaporate soft folks there are already plenty of great items to choose from. And if you need to destroy harder targets, then getting mixed offense/defense is typically going to serve you better than running glass cannon since one rotation is NOT going to kill Leona with Eclipse up.

I dunno?

Why doesn't Dominion have Ionic Spark or Kitae's anymore? Why doesn't Rift have Entropy?

Why isn't there a Chalice item for Tanks?

Why do only Mages get a Stasis item?

I've long since ceased to try to make sense of Riot's itemization decisions.
