I actually enjoy Nemesis Mode

After briefly looking through the boards, I noticed a lot of threads which expressed unhappiness with Nemesis mode. Now, I can easily see where they're coming from, but I figure I'll give my take on it so Riot doesn't think that they created a game mode which nobody enjoys.

In a game where deviating from the meta is next to taboo, it was nice to have a chance to play where trying something new is effectively sanctioned. I had always wanted to try AP Nami and Alistar within a game, but was worried that I would feed horribly and cost my team the game; now, thanks to the new mode, I got my chance. I've played without a jungle, played against double jungles, and seen some pretty crazy builds when people had no idea what they were doing with their champs. And I had a good time doing it.

Sure, there are some rage-inducing aspects. But overall, I have been enjoying it and seeing the inventiveness that people come up with when they don't have a say in what they play.

I personally love the mode. I like that it encourages us to deal with what we get and forces champs into roles that they may not ever be forced into in a normal game (example: AD or AS Lulu). Its also nice to see champions that you don't see many other places, and its even better to see them wrecking face against everyone. Like Doombots, I think this mode adds a fun and crazy game mode that should be permanent for those that tire of the trite compositions and predicability of the Rift.

I agree, AP Alistar is super fun. :D The scaling on his heal is awful, but his kit feels so much better when he actually does damage. It is a lot of fun messing around.

That said, I'm having the same problem with it that I had with doom bots. It's a nice novelty that wears off quickly. I really need to be in the mood to enjoy it properly, otherwise it's just a slog.

I thought it was entertaining for the first couple games. I got given a poppy and went on to wreck. I was impressed enough to spend the ~4xx IP to buy her.

We've played at least 30 games now, and I played one that was scary.

Braum went AD, bottom. I was Morde mid and didn't lane against him.

Braum is recalling mid at one point knowing enemies could get to him I went out to attack him. If i was recording this I would have added the song from the Karate Kid " Your the best "

because Braum was like challenge excepted got pissed and just started wailing on me, the funny thing is his team mates canceled their recall to just watch me get pummeled by el tigre' braum.

the thing is i'm used to braum just sorta being " Braum is here " and puts up shield and walks around all hard to kill and defensive. I didn't expect him to be that dangerous with a score pretty even to mine.
