Real Water in the River

On the new Summoners Rift, it should be made so that the bottom part of any champion walking through the water in the River is shown as underwater. This way it would appear as though the champion(s) are wading through the water, as opposed to simply running on top of a blue surface. Also, if you (Riot) could also please add some splashing effects based upon the hit-box and movement speed of whatever is running through it, that would be so very cool. Thank you, Riot.

Sincerely, someone who is actually named River.

I think they should make it so you lose like 2 movespeed walking through the river to make it like youre actually wading through water

This is actually my biggest concern with the SR update. I like the look of everything, but it looks even more like we're running on some kind of blue carpet. The visuals at the moment indicate more of a blue riverbed than an actual, live river. If Rito is going to spend the next several months polishing this thing like they said they would, I would really like to at least see small ripples in the water surrounding a champion (only visible to those who have vision of said champion, of course). To have them surrounding only moving champions would be extra special, but I don't know that we could ask quite that much of them what with all they're putting in already. However, if there were actual water in the river, then Dragon and Baron would also need splash animations when Dragon flies down into his arena or Baron erupts from his pit.

I think this is a great idea

best idea, and i think we should buy flippers instead of shoes for water movement

Instead of losing 2 movement speed, maybe lose 5 or 10% movement speed. It would make teamfights and chases that much more interesting.
