L4t3ncy from Riot posted about this being explored about 6 months ago, yet there hasn't been any word further on if this is possible or not. Has Riot looked any further into opening up the entire Champion pool? Please, Riot, respond and let us know whether there is any possibility of this happening or not.
Totally on board with this.
Either this needs to take place or there should be segregation of ARAM queues, so that people with 30 champs are facing people with 30 champs, etc. The playerbase is large enough, and it might actually be gasp enjoyable to just play an ARAM, regardless of the champs you get.
I'm ok with the entire champion pool open for ARAM.
Part of the fun of ARAM is getting into situations that you haven't spent your entire life studying for. People like jarjarbinks need to get out of their comfort zone every once in a while and actually play a video game. ARAM should have all champs unlocked solely for the fun factor of getting put out of your comfort zone and actually having to adapt rather than buying the 10 champs you know and dodge every time you get a free week champ. If they don't like it, they're free to keep on playing their same boring champs on the same boring rift.
If all champs were open in aram it would be a nightmare for anyone without massive experience with the game. For new players it would mean 99 out of 100 games will be with champs they have never played or only barely played. That doesnt sound fun to me
Still no word from Riot on this. We are waiting for the day that ARAM smurf accounts are put to shame and taken out of the game. Please Riot, do this ASAP and give us some feedback on L4t3ncy's statement!
Sadly Riot doesn't care about balancing anything but Summoner's Rift.
