top and bot lane unbalenced

i'm probably going to be hated for this but the top and bot lanes are uneven i assume it's because of barron and dragon pits. I've always wanted an explanation for this as it seems like an advantage for ganking yes yes i know wards op but still it off sets the map making it seem to be a safer laning phase for one side over the other and i understand it is to late to rebuild the map on one players issue but currently my opinion is meta should be a duo mid. this has always been a concern for me and i would love to get an answer for the reasoning behind this
