A Teambuilder Experiment

I decided to do a little teambuilder experiment. I sat in a lobby to watch the ratio of roles people queue for about 10 give or take minutes.

Within 10 minutes, roughly 30+ people were queueing for top lane 35+ were queueing for mid consecutively (and potentially twice that much if you disregard the 30 second decline timer). But only around 5 or so people were queueing for jungle, about 3 marksman and NO supports at least within that particular time frame at that particular time.

With the exception of Mid lane and Top lane, Teambuilder is laughably scarce with any other lane/role seemingly more so now than ever. Teambuilder was made as an easier way for people to play what they want where they want when they want, but the only things people seem to want to play are Mid and Top, while the roles of Jungle, Marksman(ADC), and Support (which is typical in and of itself really) being left to the wayside of "Someone elses job." It's a pain in the Teemo to endure the scarcity of waiting for anything that isn't Mid or Top. Most people view TB as a training ground--which it can be, but no more or less than blind pick or draft mode (or ranked for that matter) is. For some it's just a way to play what youre best at without having to fight like a child in champ select over it.

When you join a draft game or a blind pick how many people are jumping at calling "ADC! IM ADC/JUNGLE! I CALLED IT ITS MINE!" like rottweilers on a hunk of meat, but yet those roles are so scarce in Teambuilder? What is it about teambuilder that makes Jungle, and Marskman (with the exception of Support being a role in general seldom people want to play) scarce in team builder specifically?

I'd just be interested in hearing some thoughts from the community :3

Support, ADC, and Jungle, in that order, have always seemed like the least popular positions in my experience. Team Builder probably just magnifies the popularity difference by letting people insta-lock more easily. Since Team Builder games take longer to set up, people wanting to play the less popular positions could simply decide to queue for blind or draft instead, figuring there's a decent chance of still being able to play their desired position.

Personally, TB feels more childish. Not even having the option to work out a compromise between players makes everyone seem that much more selfish, even if they don't intend to be.
