Teambuilder ELO?

I've been practicing in teambuilder playing Ahri mid and have won the majority of my games. I either win my lane or go even mostly. Though there are a few bad games in there I usually get double or triple my deaths and almost never have a negative kda. I really haven't noticed an increase in skill in my opponents that I'm matched against. How does teambuilder matching work? Is it ELO based? How long does it take for it to match me up with more challenging opponents?

Anyone else experiencing this?

Thanks in advance!

P.S. My original post was deleted by a moderator saying it was on the wrong board if this is the still the wrong please inform me where you want it. I've read the guidelines for the boards.

I made a post about Boards categories being confusing, and posted it on "Boards Feedback". It got deleted

You can view your opponents and their solo ranking by checking out your history on sites like LolKing. If you're not noticing an increase in the skill of your opponents, are you looking at yourself? By this I mean are you evaluating your mistakes? If you can't see that you're being outplayed, then you should evaluate your own play and see where you've made mistakes.

Another thing to look at is your match ups and who is killing you. Are you dying more in lane? Then you're probably matched against a champion that counters yours. Are you dying more in team fights? It may be another champion or you may need to look at your positioning.

Before looking at hidden values and matchmaking for answers I'd look at my own games, and evaluate why I got killed. Did I forget to ward? Was I out of position? Did I get too aggressive and get baited? Miss a skill shot? Get hit by a skill shot I should have dodged? Just as a few examples.

In case you're interested here's a link to your Lolking profile with match history.

It looks like the highest ranked opponents you've faced are in Silver. That may have something to do with it, but as I stated above your opponent's ranking isn't the most important thing to look at.

It does adjust eventually. Was silver 4 and getting matched with the same folk I would get matched with in ranked (b4-s2). Went on a Lucian kick and spammed him for a few weeks (In TB). Had an awesome win rate. More often than not it started matching me against gold players in the bot lane (be it adc, support, or both) and/or giving me worse and worse supports (like sub 30 support for me vs. g5 adc g2 support as one of the extreme examples).

On one hand, it killed my massive win streak, on the other I learned to play passively and how to lose lane but come back mid/late game as a game changer. Comes in handy, and the experience is great to have in ranked, however I have to find a new champ to learn how to hard carry with for when I want to just sit down and stomp a game of TB.

I made a post about Team Builder a while back, and one of the site devs told me to post it in Gameplay & Balance, so I did; however, I think this should be the proper board for all things TB related.

As to the content of your post, I believe TB uses an ELO system just like blind (but, it's a seperate elo). It also takes into consideration your experience on a champ/lane. If you sustain a high win rate, you should be placed against better opponents pretty quickly.

Teambuilder calculates a special MMR for you, and applies modifiers: if you queue as Ahri mid your MMR will get like +300 (this is a fictional example) in order to account for your skills at ahri mid... if you decide to try something completely new, like jungle rumble, it will set you around 1200, to account for it having no idea how you will do at that champ/role.
