New Warmog's in ARAM

I know ARAM isn't exactly the place of balance or fair matches, and game balance is probably far more focused on SR, but some people do enjoy ARAM immensely, and I know quite a number who play ARAM exclusively. Can we get some consideration at all for ARAM when designing items? I mean really? item 3083 15% max health per 5 seconds? For those too lazy to think, that's 90% after 30 seconds. Combine that with item 3065 and slap them on DrMundo or Garen , and you might as well put a wall on the bridge that only allows passage from one side.

Before you think I'm just overreacting, I have in fact tried to see it in action before coming here. I've already witnessed Soraka ,Akali Trundle withitem 3083 , and I've even waited until I've had my try at Garen , I lost the match, by having an extremly uneven match-up, but still managed to achieve 300 hps with less than half of an item build. Yea, that's 300 HPS, not HP5.

I can see how the health regen might not be a big deal in SR: people will be too poor to buy item 3083 early game, late game a well itemized adc can still shred you to pieces (looking at you Vayne). You can't afford to wait around while enemy is taking dragon/baron/your tower, and most importantly, you can just recall to get your health back.

However, in ARAM where the entire game is a standstill at the middle of the map, and where your team is always there to get your back and protect your towers. It's not hard to step back for half a minute, and it sure is worth it to get your entire health bar back. You would see item 3083 in any team with any tanky champion (and anyone who's actually played ARAM more than a couple of times would know tanks can make all the differences, a well played Alistar or Amumu is no less valuable than a Nidalee or TwistedFate ).

If we push this to an extreme, and honestly I can see it happening (so it might not be that extreme), your generic early item build for most champions will now be item 1001 +item 3070 /item 3028 +item 3083 +item 3165 . I don't want to, and I think I can speak for most people in saying that no one wants to have games with 10 item 3083 , where an ARAM game consists of early action until everyone get their warmogs, then its indefinite poke vs step back and let item 3083 do its work. It takes all of the fun out of ARAM, there is no playing a champion you're not great at or trying out interesting builds/playstyles. It will simply be 10 minutes of early action, followed by 20-30 minutes of stand still until everyone get their full builds (maybe even wait long enough for carries to sell their item 3083 for a final engage fight), and then a final engage where whichever team got a better comp gets an ace and push to win.

tl;dr: no one wants to fight tanks with 4000+ health and 300+ armor/mr on ARAM, and hate even more to fight these tanks when they have a double DrMundo ult 24/7. When health regen gets to be hundredS per SECOND (and you're not even DrMundo or Garen ), it's a problem for ARAM.

P.S. if my point wasn't clear: item 3083 item 3083 item 3083 item 3083 Garen item 3083 item 3083 item 3083 item 3083

I don't know. On one hand poke champs are still retarded and can relentlessly destroy your hp bar from complete safety and just walk to their free win if they play right. On the other hand, some tanks and bruisers are really goddamned annoying right now.... but I think it's mostly Garen. It seems like they just made him really OP.

I posted in the PBE forums back when these were still in test, asking if they would consider leaving the old Mogs as the version for ARAM. Got caught up by a few people that were spam-downvoting every discussion thread, fell off the face of the earth, and saw no response.

Mogs used to be a banned item in ARAM. It was let back in after the last rework, because it was no longer broken in the mode. Hoping they're keeping in eye on it and will be willing to either disable or revert it back for the mode if it's causing problems.

Disagree with the sentiment entirely. Yes, this makes some tanks annoying. However, they're still very much team-dependent as opposed to "oh look we have four random champions and a Ziggs/Varus, you're in trouble". The only one it sort of breaks is Galio. Alistar already has very high sustain, warmogs or not. Mundo can already regenerate like a maniac, and if he gets to lategame, he becomes a beast, and this doesn't change that fact very much.

What it does do is make it a lot more enjoyable to play a bunch of other fighters/tanks/bruisers who would previously just get poked all day long, and if they ever tried to farm or go in, would just get focused and die. Now, it's "oh hey, I have two health items, one of which is warmogs, and health runes. I'm happy!" This thing now makes it fun to play champs like Shyvana, Vi, Xin Zhao, Irelia, Darius, Garen, and others.

Also, at the end of the day, this is still a selfish item. It's not going to do jack crap if the rest of your team gets initiated on and flattened, leaving your warmogs build to be a glorified super minion.
