Why ARAM is a Vital Gamemode.
Bear
with me here. I think that the direction the game is going (Fast Paced, split second decision making, rotation Heavy) the more you know about your enemy and their champions the easier it is to win games. For this reason, I think playing ARAM is the Best solution for players wanting to get to the next level. It's one thing to read the ability descriptions and watch the Champion spotlight (Keep em up Phreak). It is an entirely different matter when an ADC Main has to go and play
. ARAM will introduce you to champions you might never pick up otherwise and its a nice place to go and play league without the more serious "Your sidestep and missed aa lost the game" attitude that comes with SR. I personally learned more about mages and tops and odd picks through ARAM than playing a Ton of games against them. It also lets you get a feel for the actual channeling times, range limitations, move speed etc that you might not think about reading the ability summary in client.
Now, Riot, we recently got a beautiful new update to Summoners rift (very pretty) that has made some of us (friends and I) very excited about what season 6 will look like. However, The Abyss and our two ghostly buddies look very sad to be left out. Might we expect to see a VU coming for the Frozen Bridge?
, and many more. I love ARAM, and always will. AND it's so much more laid back, you could probably get away with doing something like ADC
.
for instance)
. certain champions definitely play differently in ARAM
