So many Questions about Sona. (Where is she?)

Now I have been a fan of Sona since I started playing League a long time ago and I've been holding back my frustrations after I read the Lux comics because It only adds more to my list of questions I hope to get answered one day. So i'm hoping the community can help me fill in the blanks.

We all know Sona was adopted by Lestara Buvelle a rich Demacian. She is endeared by some Highborn in Demacia but suspected of magic by others. So this brings me to my 1st couple of questions.

  1. Was she in Demacia during the conflict that takes place in the Lux comic?

1a. If she was accused of magic or was she protected by some HighBorn? Maybe XinZhao since he's in the related champions on her page in the universe?

1b. If she wasn't how does Sylas know about her? Where was their encounter?

The next couple of questions come from the 2018 Ryze cinematic where Sona is featured at Hirana Monastery, Ionia.

  1. Why was she there? Did Ryze ask her to help?

2a. If she was already in Ionia was she looking for her birth parents? Or is she traveling Runeterra preforming?

2b. If she wasn't in Ionia did she travel with Ryze?

2c. Can Ryze understand Sona

Since we know she was or is in Ionia we can assume thats how Jhin 1st saw her and started to think of her as his rival.

  1. What is her etwahl? It's connected to her and maybe magical because it always finds it's way back to Sona.

The last question is kind of a theory that spawned in my head when the vastaya tree came out.

  1. Is she or her weapon somehow related to the Chyra "the silent chorus" Vastaya?

Just the silent chorus part reminds me of Sona and we don't know who her birth parents are or why she can not talk or even where her etwahl came from.

Now to wrap these questions I'm just going to add some things I would personally like to possibly see RIOT do with Sona in the future.

  1. Have a story about her birth or a story about her etwahl.

  2. If she travels for concerts maybe have some stories of the places she has seen and the people she have met. (She could be used to expand and explore Runeterra's cultures.)

  3. A list of champions that can understand Sona.

  4. I'm also interested in the story of when Jhin first saw Sona and how in his mind he sees her as a rival.

  5. An update on her adoptive mother and how shes doing in Demacia after the Lux comics and the death of the king. (maybe there is nothing to mention maybe there is. I'm just curious.)

Edit: I already Pre-ordered the lore book so if anything interesting pops up in there i'll update.

New lore update, her weapon/instrument is a darkin. It's just a very gentle darkin that likes music. Sona can also talk perfectly fine, but she just doesn't because it adds an air of mystery to her. She floats via hextech hoverboard hidden under her skirt. She spends upwards of 15000 Demacian Vbucks per month on hair dye, slowly bankrupting her house.

I can write a story about Jhin seeing Sona for the first time and such, if you'd like. It won't be official, Riot-made stuff, of course, but perhaps it will give them some ideas.

However, I would very much like for the Chyra tribe to be expanded upon in the lore so that we can continue to explore this theory for Sona.

See, the Vastaya aren't an Ionian-exclusive thing, as is evident by the Marai(Nami's tribe), the Kiilash(Rengar's tribe), and the Oovi-Kat(Neeko's tribe). Its entirely possible that the Chyra aren't even an Ionian tribe, and since Sona is likely of Ionian decent, that would make it difficult for them to even be aware of her existence, let alone give her the Etwahl. So, unless it was said somewhere that the Chyra are of Ionian, I find the connection very unlikely, but not entirely impossible.

About number 5, here is the thing, right now the only thing we know is that there is a woman named Lestara Buvelle in Demacia, but in the current canon lore there are no indications that Sona is still an adopted girl. her lore in universe is outdated and is subjected to change. So right now the only thing we can confirm about Sona is that she is still a mute, she traveled to Ionia, she knows Ryze and possibly knows about the world rune unless Ryze kept her in the dark. she is a known musician, and she still possibly lives in Demacia. i'm a bit skeptical that Riot might keep her as a Demacian citizen. i don't rule out the possibility of Sona going back to Ionia for good after certain events in her story takes shape. not to mention all the things we saw in Lux's comic might indicate that Demacia is no longer safe for her! Riot is very careful about any kind of hint and information about Sona. they are so quiet about her...what are you guys up to? <.<

The Lux comic I'm almost inclined to believe is an elsworld story or whatever you wanna call it. People acting out of character, rushed ending, inconclusive plot threads, dunno...

I would add a question, one that is extremely relevant to her character and how people see her currently.

In what little old lore she has, Sona is depicted as a noblewoman Diva who travels the world as a world class performer. She learns to kill things with sound simply to earn a place on the biggest stage in the world, the League.

This extremely clashes with what seems to be player opinion that Sona is a gentle, nice, kind person who does no harm (a waifu, i guess?). I really want to know in which direction Riot will take her character development.

Side note; I support the Etwahl is a redeemed/pacified/protector Darkin. It puts an interesting twist on the character and well written, it could help iron out some world lore points.

IMO If you noticed in the cinematic ryze was searching for something that the people were trying to steal, sona was probably suspicious of ryze and kept track of him since she was there representing the Demacian family for some special event that required someones presence and considering how successful she is in both music and elegance she was the perfect member of the house to send. When ryze confronts the bandits they try to take him down with numbers and so sona reveals herself, using her Crescendo and giving ryze the opportunity to counter-attack after seeing that he was on her side of the situation.

Ryze is also known to have "lots of power" and while some people dont agree he should have it others agree he is responsible enough with it. Ryze himself admits that the only reason he is capable of such power is because Ryze

My headcannon can't get passed the idea that Sona is actually like an Oracle of sorts and that summoner's rift is a thing still, it's just not a political thing anymore, it's simply where all powerful summoners conjure likenesses of champions from Runeterra to fight each other and Sona being able to commune with summoner's which is how the Sona player can hear Sona's "Voice" I get that the institute of war was scrapped because "why would someone like AurelionSol heed the call of a summoner for politics" however I feel that if Sona lost her "voice" it would suck, and there would be outrage.

Plus if summoners have secretly existed outside the institute of war scenario you could have Marvel Universe style scenario's going further but being how slowly the lore moves forward it seems unlikely, and they'll probably just remove all communication with the player entirely rip.............
