Splash art changes

I am personally getting really tired of riot changing splash art for skins we already have, without so much as asking the community. Akali's new blood moon splash is gross, new traditional sejuani splash is gross, I could cite so many examples of this its crazy. And it would be one thing if it was only the standard splashes, but we PAY for the skins. Who agrees?

Lemme ask you this, in the case of Blood Moon Akali;

She got a VGU, meaning her model, her animations, her equipment, everything, got changed. And more than that, her old Blood Moon model was outdated for years, spending the most time as the original version of the skin out of any in the skin line (since Shen's Blood Moon skin was updated along with his VGU quite a while ago).

With all of this in mind - the fact that her model and appearance will change, and that they would update her skin to match the present Blood Moon thematic/aesthetic - why should they not also change the Splash Art? Especially considering that they've made a point to update the splash arts for all skins that need them with a VGU (example for Akali; everything except Sashimi).

Would you really want the old, outdated splash art of Blood Moon Akali, and then be greeted in-game by the new version, which looks miles different from it?

Beyond that, you don't really offer any compelling arguments in this case. You just say that the two example splash arts (Blood Moon Akali, Traditional Sejuani) are "gross". How are they gross? What's wrong with them? Why do you not like them in comparison to the previous versions?

If you're going to criticise something, you can't just give a short, subjective "I don't like it" and expect it to suffice for an argument. Go into detail, compare the two, explain why you don't like the new ones.

And, lastly:

And it would be one thing if it was only the standard splashes, but we PAY for the skins.

You pay for the skins, knowing that they could be subject to change in the future. You can't argue that something should be immutable and unchangeable because people pay for it, especially in a game that's constantly evolving, both gameplay and art-wise. That's horribly unfair to expect that only the base level thing you can get (the Champion themselves) should receive the changes, while everything else that requires RP should be immune to change.
